Image
Super excited to share our engagement session with Tatum and Tyler. It was beautiful but windy. That did not stop us from having a great session. We're photographing their wedding at the end of September next year so it was great spending time with these guys and getting to know them. They are such a cute couple. They have a connection and bond that is undeniable. They are so comfortable with one another. It was a lot of fun being able to capture that. Also, I really loved the outfits they chose for their session. They fit perfectly for the fall look we got at the Governor's mansion. It was an amazing session no question! Also, I asked them a few questions, so make sure to read those! T.H. Peterson:  Where did you guys first meet? Tatum:  We met at school my freshman year and were friends for quite awhile before we started dating. T.H. P.:  Favorite movie you've ever seen together. Tatum:  Favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama. T.H. P.:   What is someth

Interview with Dakota James Thorne - 2017 Santa Fe Trail High Grad - Topeka's Most creative senior portraits - Fun Truckhenge Session

Shooting Dakota's session was a blast. He had some creative ideas he wanted to include in his senior portraits and starting off at the Jayhawk Theater was awesome. I love the vintage appeal of that place and then we headed to Truckhenge out east. It was a great place to spend the rest of the time with Dakota. He loved it and so did his family. We had an amazing time there and ended the shoot with covering Dakota in paint. We laughed a ton, got some crazy good images and had an awesome time. Dakota and his family are super fun and there was never a dull moment. I am thankful that Dakota chose us to capture an important time in his life like his senior photos. It was truly a blast. Here's a few of his favorite images from the shoot and also included is a fun interview with the one and only Dakota! Enjoy! T.H. Peterson:  What’s the best thing about going to Santa Fe Trail?  Dakota:  The best thing about going to Santa Fe Trail is all the memories I've made with friends

Oh man, I loved photographing these guys! They were so nice and fun and easy going. They're such a great couple and it was one of the most relaxed shoots we've done in a long time. They brought their dogs and they were a lot of fun too. Really cute personalities! The governor's mansion is where we did these and I love the light there in the late afternoon. It's a beautiful location that even after years of shooting there, I NEVER get tired of. It's honestly just gorgeous. A big thank you to Jon and Mariah for choosing us for your engagement portraits!! It was so fun and you guys are awesome.  I love how the dogs look like they're holding paws lol.  We had a blast with these guys! I can't even say exactly how long it's been since I've known these guys but it's always a lot of fun. They are such a fun and crazy group and there's never a dull moment capturing their dynamic and their connection. They are a big family with lots of personality. When we climbed up to the back side of the Governor's mansion for portraits, it was windy! And our light kept flying apart but the guys in this family were great to try and help to hold our light. It was a team effort from everyone! As you can see the leaves are changing colors and it's looking absolutely beautiful here in Kansas! I'm so thankful that these guys continue to support our business and hire us to capture important moments and milestones in their lives. It means a lot to me! Last time we photographed the whole family it was 2 autumns ago and so all the kids are growing up! It's special to see how they have grown! Always fun to do a comparison! W
