Interview with Madi Vobach - Topeka High School Class of 2023 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time with Madi! She is extremely photogenic and was a lot of fun to photograph! Her smile is beautiful and she didn’t have a bad angle. Her session took place at our studio and nearby in Scranton and at Osage Lake. It was a beautiful fall day and it made the perfect backdrop for her session. All in all, her session was amazing. Madi is legit one of the prettiest, most photogenic seniors I’ve ever photographed. Sooo happy with her session. Thanks for checking her shoot out! Enjoy!

T.H. Peterson: What classes are you enjoying most this year?

Madi: I'm really enjoying my speech class. Its been a good way to learn more about my peers.

T.H. P.: What will you miss most about high school?

Madi: I will miss the traditions most! Topeka high has the best traditions and I love how everything has history to it.

T.H. P.: What are your plans after high school?

Madi: I'm undecided about where I'm going to college yet, but I plan on going to dental school.

T.H. P.: What did you enjoy most about your shoot with us?

Madi: Tommy had so many ideas and made the most out of all the places we went!

T.H. P.: What would a dream job be for you?

Madi:  Orthodontist!

T.H. P.: What makes you feel confident?

Madi: A good outfit. I always feel my best when I think my outfit looks good:)

T.H. P.: What tv show or movie were you obsessed with when you were a kid?

Madi: Elmo!

T.H. P.: Favorite junk food?

Madi: Muddy buddies (puppy chow).

T.H. P.:  Best singer of your generation?

Madi: Billie Eilish

T.H. P.: What do you dip your fries in? (You can’t say ketchup) Madi: Chocolate shakes!

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! Recently, we photographed Sarah, my assistant (of many years) she’s incredible! Always professional, friendly and fun to be around. I asked her to do a write up for her blog post. Here’s what she wrote: My first experience with T.H. Peterson Photography was 8 years ago. I saw an add for his spring mini sessions and thought it would be a perfect fit for my husband (who hates photos) and my four small kids. That photo shoot resulted in amazing pictures and also a job for me! I’m Sarah, one of Tommy’s photo assistants and this spring my extended family met Tommy at Osage lake for our family photo shoot. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Tracer's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Tracer was such a sweet baby! I remember almost immediately when we started the session, he was comfortable and ready to be posed. Usually it takes a min to get them settled but he was a very good baby. I mean just look at that smile. He smiled almost right at the beginning and he was just a blast to photograph! Sawyer is a CUTE kid! He was so chill and photographing him was a blast. I love the portraits we got of him and the images with mom and dad are super special! Interview with Deacon Crumpton - SFT Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Deacon was fun to hang out with. He is very photogenic and capturing his personality and energy was a blast. We had such a great evening to get these images of him. And even though we took these pretty much in the dead of winter, you'd really never know. The temps were great and the trees looked incredible in the glow of the setting sun.
