Interview with Grace Miller - Seaman High Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Grace’s session was such a blast! She is such a beautiful girl with so much personality, and her funny expressions kept me smiling the whole time. I told her she really should be in theater because she knows how to light up the camera with all the different faces she makes. I photographed her last month in the sunflower fields, and I knew then how fun she would be to work with again. This session was no different—it was just perfect. She’s so photogenic, and we ended up with so many amazing images.

Out of all her outfits, the dress she wore was my favorite. It had this timeless, vintage vibe that made her look like she stepped right out of the past. Between her bright, beautiful smile and her strong, serious expressions, she gave us such a great mix of looks. We’re so excited to share just a few of our favorites from her session!

T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?
Grace: I don’t have any set plans for after high school. I would like to go to college, but I don’t know what for.

T.H. P.: What classes are you glad to be done with?
Grace: Math. I’m not taking it this year, and I know if I go to college I will have to take it, but for now I am enjoying the break.
T.H. P.: Favorite teacher?
Grace: Mrs. Kennedy. She makes learning fun and has been a teacher of mine for nearly all four years of high school.
T.H. P.: What kind of student are you?
Grace: A good student. I like to learn, but I’m not a perfect straight-A student. I’m a learner.
T.H. P.: What movie do you know line for line?
Grace: Any of the Harry Potter movies.
T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?
Grace: I never felt nervous or shy throughout the whole session. I felt confident and had a lot of fun.
T.H. P.: Who makes you laugh the most?
Grace: My best friend Karli.

T.H. P.: What is a life hack that makes your life easier?
Grace: I try to see the good in everything and everyone, and I remind myself to take life one step at a time.

T.H. P.: First thought you have when you wake up?
Grace: Is today a school day?
T.H. P.: Best concert you’ve ever been to? Who would you love to see live one day?
Grace: Old Dominion. It was the closest I’ve ever been to the artists performing, and I got to take a set list and guitar pick home! Plus, Old Dominion is my favorite country band. I’d love to see Luke Combs or Billie Eilish live.
