Interview with Cinthia Macias - 2016 Highland Park Grad - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers

 Excited to share our session with Miss Cinthia! Our shoot with Cinthia was awesome. It was beautiful out... a little windy but beautiful nonetheless. My favorite two things about Cinthia's session is her smile... killer!! Secondly, how colorful her session was! Thank you for checking out Cinthia's session!! T.H. Peterson: Who is your biggest role model?
Cinthia: My dad
T.H. P.: If you had an unlimited gift certificate to a restaurant here in Topeka, where would it be to? 
Cinthia: To El Mezcal
T.H. P.: If you could change one thing about your high school career what would it be? 
Cinthia: I would be involved in more after school activities.
T.H. P.: What big plans do you have looking ahead after you graduate? 
Cinthia: I’m going to college.
T.H. P.: What are your favorite activities inside and outside of school?
Cinthia: My favorite after school activity would be color guard.
T.H. P.: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
Cinthia: One time me and my sister counted how many licks and i think it was somewhere around 900.
T.H. P.: What was the most embarrassing moment? Most proud moment?
Cinthia: I ran over the curb at sonic and got stuck for a while. My most proudest moment was when i bought my first phone.
T.H. P.: What movie/show have you seen way too much of?Cinthia: Mean girls.
T.H. P.: What important advice will you remember to give your son for when he is a senior?
Cinthia: To have fun and enjoy his last year of high school. 
T.H. P.: How would your bff describe you?
Cinthia: A very honest person. Sometimes a little too honest.

Jessica and Anthony tie the knot - Stunning country wedding - Topeka Wedding Photography

Jessica and Anthony’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. They said their vows on a bridge overlooking a beautiful pond, surrounded by tall grass, trees, and the peaceful countryside. The weather was just right, and everywhere you looked there were smiling faces, happy tears, and the warmth of family and friends who came to celebrate their love. It was one of those days that just felt special from beginning to end. The celebration that followed was full of laughter, dancing, and joy. The DJ kept the dance floor packed all night, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their bridal party was full of energy and love, cheering them on every step of the way. You could tell how much support Jessica and Anthony had from everyone there—it was truly a day filled with love, happiness, and memories that will last a lifetime. Now for the fun part! Interview with Addy Michaelis - Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time photographing Addy’s senior session! We started in the studio and then headed out around Scranton and down to the lake. It was a beautiful day — perfect weather and golden light! Like most seniors, Addy took a little bit to warm up in front of the camera, but once she did, her real smile came out, and it was absolutely gorgeous. She has such a natural, genuine smile, and it was so fun capturing that on camera. I also really loved reading through Addy’s interview answers — she has such a great personality, and I feel like her photos show that perfectly. Interview with Parker Johnson - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time photographing Parker around downtown Topeka, Washburn Rural, and the Kansas Governor’s Mansion. He brought his car along and even included his girlfriend in a few shots, which made the session extra fun. Parker is super photogenic and gave us plenty of nice smiles, making it easy to capture his personality on camera. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, with a beautiful sunset and an amazing sky to top it all off. The setting sun gave us some truly stunning images that Parker will have to remember this special time. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

Interview with Bryce Cormier - Silver Lake High School Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Bryce is a really great senior from Silver Lake High School, and his session was a blast. We started at Shawnee Lake, where we photographed him in his wrestling gear, complete with medals and uniforms—it was really awesome to showcase that part of his personality. We also got some fun shots with his fishing pole, capturing a mix of his interests. Then we headed downtown, and the evening was just perfect—the golden hour made every shot pop. Bryce has an amazing smile and was super easy to work with, which made getting a variety of photos a lot of fun. One of my favorite parts of the session was photographing him with his Dodge Charger. That bright orange car is stunning and really shows off his personality. We got shots that were playful, some more serious, and plenty that felt completely natural. Interview with Coby Branson - SFT Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time photographing Coby for his senior session! I’ve photographed him a few times over the years, so it was really special to capture this milestone for him. Coby goes to Santa Fe Trail and plays baseball, and he’s just a really good guy—confident, down-to-earth, and easy to be around. We started part of his session on their property and then headed to a farm just north of Scranton. The views out there were amazing, and it felt like everything lined up perfectly for us. He really wanted a sunset for his senior photos, and wow, did we get one! The golden hour light that evening was absolutely stunning—the kind of sunset I rarely get to see. We even had the tallest hill in Osage City as the backdrop for part of the shoot, which made it extra unique. The colors, the light, and Coby’s relaxed personality all came together perfectly. We had such a fun time photographing Xada’s senior session. We started in the studio where she was so natural and photogenic, making it easy to capture some great portraits. From there, we headed out to Osage County Fishing Lake, and it was the perfect spot. Even though it’s the end of summer moving into fall, we still got those warm summer vibes in her photos. The skies, the water, and the fields all came together beautifully, and Xada made it even better with her awesome smile and easygoing personality. To finish off the session, we went to Carbondale and shot around the old downtown buildings. It added a nice variety to her gallery and gave us a different look to balance the lake photos. Interview with Liam Morrison - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time photographing Liam for his senior photos! He was super easy to work with and made the whole session fun. We started at his school, capturing him on the track and soccer field, especially doing hurdles—something he’s really passionate about. You could tell just how much he loves what he does, and it really shows in his photos. Liam is very photogenic and seemed to naturally know how to pose, which made our job even easier. After wrapping up at the school, we headed downtown and then out to the country to catch the setting sun over the beautiful rural Kansas landscape. Liam was down for anything we wanted to try, and he looked great no matter where we were or what we were doing. The session flowed so well, and the final images really captured his personality, athleticism, and love for what he does. Interview with Hannah Olson - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Hannah’s senior session was such a joy to photograph! We started out at a farm where she could be in her element with her horse. You could instantly tell how much riding means to her—it’s a huge part of her life, and it showed in the way she lit up around her horse. She has such a natural presence in front of the camera, and her beautiful smile made every photo shine. From there, we headed out into the country just in time for golden hour. The light was perfect, warm and glowing, and it created such a beautiful backdrop for her photos. We ended the session at Kaw River Park, where Hannah not only posed by the water in the setting sun but also got right in. Not many seniors are willing to do that, but she was all for it, and the images turned out phenomenal. With her parents there cheering her on, it made the evening even more special.
