 I am absolutely thrilled to share this session with you all. We did a session recently at Keene Road Country Estates with Katie and Jace. It was FREEZING cold. But you probably can't even tell because they look so happy. Katie and Jace are such a cute and loving couple. Despite the frigid temps, they were so happy and did fantastic. A little back story on how we met these guys, earlier this year, while out to dinner, we saw Katie and Jace having dinner and Jace proposed right then and there. It was pretty awesome witnessing a proposal. So it was very cool to be there from the very beginning with these guys. Now we did their engagement photos and soon we'll be doing their wedding!!  Elizabeth is a natural beauty. She is such a nice girl and did amazing for her session. We have photographed her family for a while now and was excited when we got to do her photos! We traveled down to Hartford for her session and it was great doing them around town and out in the country. There were lots of amazing looks we could use. She plays volleyball and cheers and so that was a fun part of the session we were able to photograph. But probably my favorite part was going right outside of town. From the moment we arrived at Tyler's parents house, we could tell the day was going to be beautiful.  Malissa walked out of the house ready for her first look with Tyler,  perfectly dressed in country chic with a touch of nautical inspiration.  Everything was shimmering with gold - from the bridesmaids dresses, to Malissa's shining smile, to the windswept field Tyler and Malissa said their "I Do's" in!  Not one detail was overlooked!  The ceremony ended with a pop of champagne and didn't slow down!  When the party bus arrived at the Serendipity, it was clear everyone was ready to dance the night away!  The food was delicious, the dance floor was jumpin', and the couple was happy.  During the minor ups and downs of the day, it's clear Tyler and Malissa is a couple that gains their strength from one another - a strength that will carry them into a long and happy life together! Jessica and Craig had their wedding just a little over a week ago! And it was beautiful. It was a small celebration out at Pamona Lake just overlooking a beautiful scene of the lake and trees. It was very laid back and relaxed and fun. The weather couldn't have been nicer and everyone was in such good spirits. The wedding took place just minutes before the sun set and the light and warmth on the bride and groom made for the perfect setting for their vows. I had a wonderful time with these guys and their family and friends. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Jessica's dress was simple but she looked absolutely stunning in it.  Shyann and Sam's day was absolutely stunning! So many great moments and little details that made this the PERFECT country wedding. It was out at Branded B Ranch, which we've never been to but hope to shoot more at because of how beautiful it is! Sam and Shyann are so in love and there is no question in anyone's mind about that. The way they look at each other especially during the ceremony you could tell that they have such a special bond. He literally did not take his eyes off of her once she came down the aisle. The party was so much fun and everyone had a blast. For us, it was very relaxed and fun and we had a great time. We laughed a ton and we are so excited to share our highlights from the day! I won't ramble but I will just say this, when I found out we got to photograph this wedding, I was more excited than I've been in a long time about shooting a wedding. The location, Botanica Gardens in Wichita. Absolutely stunning! I loved it. The photographic possibilities were endless!! And I was lucky as I often am to shoot with one of my favorite second shooters Audra. This was a very detail oriented wedding with lots of feminine touches. It was gorgeous. The couple Emily and Derek were so awesome too. Derek was seriously one of the nicest guys ever and Emily was just so radiant that day. I was in heaven. Thinking back I can't help but remember how excited Derek and Emily looked when they saw each other for the first time. They were intensely looking look at each other while the pastor spoke. Normally we post our wedding photos in the blog post as still images but we wanted to do something fun and special for these guys. Courtney and Tyler had an amazing wedding and the day was incredible. The moments shared and celebrated were so many that we were in dreamland.  July 16, we were fortunate to be able to photograph one amazing wedding celebration. The mood and atmosphere was gorgeous. Shabby chic was the theme and it was amazing. Our team was there to cover the fantastic event.  Along side our awesome photographer Matt Hrovat, was our new addition to our wedding photography team, Audra Downing . She's definitely skilled and has the most amazing eye for details and has a very distinct feminine touch. Here's just a handful of shots from the day. Some of my personal favorites!  The beautiful occasion was at Victorian Veranda Inn just north of Lawrence. What a perfect venue for a wedding like this!
