A perfect smile!

While I feel like the sky's the limit when we're outside, (pun intended), the studio is definitely where I feel most comfortable and in my element. Yesterday, we had the enjoyment of photographing a beautiful family: a beautiful six month old boy Kale and his mommy and daddy. 



He warmed right up to us and gave us amazing smiles. Mom and dad did great too! But he was definitely star of the show. Here's some of our favorites! (though, to just pick a few to put on here is a real challenge! He smiled so good for the whole session!!!)

Reese Jentry's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Baby Reese Jentry came to the studio for her session, and she was absolutely perfect! Mom and Dad brought along Dad’s Army uniform, and we were able to include it in some of her photos, which made the session so special and meaningful. It was such a beautiful way to honor his service and create a memory they’ll cherish forever. Reese was surrounded by so much love from Mom, Dad, and her two big brothers. They were all so smitten with her, and it was heartwarming to see how much she is already adored. We captured some amazing images of the whole family together, as well as some of Reese all by herself. I just love how her photos turned out — so sweet and full of love! T.H. Interview with Higgins Hawks - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

I had such a great time photographing Higgins, a senior from Washburn Rural High School. He’s such a cool guy with tons of confidence and personality, which really came through in his photos. We started his session in front of the Federal Home Loan Bank — a spot I’d never shot at before — and I was blown away by the beautiful architecture and landscaping. It was the perfect backdrop for his dressy outfit and set the tone for some really sharp, classy images. After that, we headed to Cypress Ridge Golf Course to showcase Higgins’ passion for golf. The weather couldn’t have been better, and we captured some truly stunning shots of him out on the course. We wrapped up the evening at Kaw River Park just as the sun was setting over the water, giving us the most perfect, glowing images to end the session. Interview with MaKayla Connor - Silver Lake Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing MaKayla from Silver Lake during an early morning sunrise session at her school. We started on the softball field, and the sky put on the most colorful display — pinks, oranges, and purples that made the perfect backdrop for her softball photos. You could clearly see how much she loves the sport in every shot, and the sunrise made the whole scene feel really special. After we finished on the field, we headed inside the school to capture some awesome wrestling photos. Even though MaKayla recently injured her thumb, she didn’t let that slow her down one bit. Adrian is a senior at Topeka West, graduating with the Class of 2026. She’s been playing soccer since 3rd grade, and her love for the game really showed during her session. She’s confident, driven, and full of energy—and on top of that, incredibly photogenic with a beautiful, bright smile. We spent a lot of time focusing on her passion for soccer, and it was clear how much it means to her. At the end of the session, we headed out to the water at Shawnee Lake, just in time for the most incredible sunset. The sky lit up in a rich orange glow, giving us the perfect backdrop. Interview with Brenner Beninga - Washburn Rural Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

I’ve known Brenner for a little while now, and his senior session was exactly what I expected—full of energy, laughs, and plenty of shirtless moments (classic Brenner). We did his shoot at his family’s farm, which was the perfect spot for him. Between the pond, the barn, the greenhouse, and the chickens running around, it felt like home—and he was totally in his element. He pulled out toe touches, a backflip, and even some wrestling moves mid-session. Only Brenner could make a senior photo shoot feel like an action movie and a comedy show rolled into one. What I love about Brenner is that he’s always 100% himself. He’s hilarious, super athletic, and genuinely a good dude. He cheers, wrestles, trains MMA, and has big dreams of stepping into the cage one day—and I believe he’ll get there. I had such a great time photographing Preston downtown on the 4th of July! He wanted to show off his patriotism, and he really brought the spirit with red, white, and blue clothes, an American flag, and some colorful smoke bombs. Even though it was the middle of the day and pretty warm, he had such a good attitude the whole time. His great smile and fun personality made the session really enjoyable. Preston is an athlete too, but we decided to save that part of his story for another session. This time was all about celebrating the holiday and capturing his love for his country. Jayce's senior session was such a fun one! We started in the NOTO Arts District, where the colorful murals and artistic vibe gave us a great backdrop. The sun was low in the sky, casting a warm golden light that made everything glow. Jayce was easygoing and had a great smile, which made my job super easy. He brought a relaxed energy to the shoot, and we had a good time exploring the area and finding cool spots to shoot. After that, we made our way out to Shawnee State Fishing Lake just in time for sunset. The sky was glowing over the water, and it looked absolutely amazing. We captured Jayce with his fishing gear and his Dodge Ram—two of his favorite things—which made the photos even more personal and meaningful. It was the perfect way to wrap up his session. Baby Acee’s session was absolutely adorable! He gave us the sweetest little expressions and even smiled quite a bit, which is always such a treat. We did the session in the studio, and everything went so smoothly. Acee was super chill and posed so easily for us—it was like he already knew what to do in front of the camera! His mom is completely in love with him, and it’s easy to see why. You can just feel the love and joy she has when she looks at him.
