Interview with Walker Bassett - Kicker for Seaman High and 2017 Grad - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers

Our session with Walker was killer. We started off at Seaman on the football field and ended at his grandpa's property where we were able to get some seriously beautiful scenes. I loved shooting out there. When it was all said and done we ended the shoot by jumping in the pool. It was night time but we were able to get some incredible dives and jumps in the pool. It was seriously one of the most fun shoots! It was so hot getting splashed by the pool water was great. Walker is a cool dude. He's laid back but opinionated, in a good way. He's decisive, he knows what he likes. He's got a positive attitude. He's hilarious as you'll be able to tell in the interview below. All around a great shoot! Glad we were able to do it!
T.H. Peterson: What makes Seaman the best school in Topeka?
Walker: Seaman definitely has some of the best teachers and school spirit in Topeka. Seaman community also has a family feeling.
T.H. P.: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Walker: Hopefully I'll be rich and chilling with my  chusky (chow chow/husky mix).
T.H. P.: How long have you been a lifeguard and have you ever saved someone’s life?
Walker: This is my second summer Lifeguarding. Yes I have saved people from drowning.
T.H. P.: How long have you been a lifeguard and have you ever saved someone’s life?
Walker: This is my second summer Lifeguarding. Yes I have saved people from drowning.
T.H. P.: What’s a misconception people have about kickers on a football team and what’s your favorite thing about playing that position?
Walker: Common misconception about kickers is that we can't pull woman, well we definitely can. Best part of this position I very rarely ever get hit.
T.H. P.: If you were not a kicker, what position would you play on the football team?
Walker: Definitely quarterback, but I wouldn't wanna take my buddy Daltons position from him!
T.H. P.: Besides sports what are your favorite indoor and outdoor activities?
Walker: Favorite activities are sleeping and hanging out with friends. Oh and hot yoga.
T.H. P.: What is your favorite junk food?
Walker: Pizza if that counts
T.H. P.: What kind of music do you listen to?
Walker: I like a lot of different kinds but mostly country.
T.H. P.:  know you’re a K-State fan, but where do you think you want to go to school?
Walker: I want to go to Kansas State but if another opportunity rises then so be it.
T.H. P.: What was your favorite part of your session with us?
Walker: It would have to be the pool shots!
T.H. P.: What’s the most dangerous thing you would like to try?

Walker: Challenging Hunter Hershey to a game of chess.
