Stromgren - Marple Wedding - Kyle and Anne's Incredibly beautiful wedding - Circle S Ranch - Lawrence, KS

I can't even explain how excited I felt when I pulled into Circle S Ranch just north of Lawrence, KS. It truly was one of the most amazing wedding locations I've ever been to. Even the gravel road that we took off the highway to get there was so beautiful in the hills and the winding road got me excited to see what we were about to get to! Honestly it was the perfect location for Kyle and Anne's wedding. If they wanted the perfect backdrop and location to celebrate their love, then this was it! The one downside if there was any was that it was WARM! It was a hot day but that's Kansas for you! However, this was a perfect wedding. Their friends and families were so awesome. Kyle and Anne are so blessed to have the support system they have! The speeches were amazing during the toasts. It was an emotional and beautiful moment. To top all of that off, Anne is so beautiful. I felt like I was photographing for a bridal magazine. I truly felt honored to be a part of their wedding. So happy with how everything turned out. The food was amazing, the location was insane, the DJ was great! I loved everything. It was the perfect day! Make sure to check out the slideshow below!

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! Held at the charming Stony Point Hall, just a short drive from Baldwin and Lawrence, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. I was so excited to photograph Larae as she is the beautiful baby of a very long time client, like probably 15-20 years. Oh Skylar! A beautiful baby with thick black hair and an adorable presence, stole our hearts with her funny expressions and cooperative demeanor during our photography session with her. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th
