Interview with Tristan Shepard - Santa Fe Trail - Class of 2019 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits - Amazing Kansas City Session

I've been so excited to share Tristan's shoot! We've just been so busy but here it is!! When they first contacted me, all they said is they wanted something different, that they wanted to go to Kansas City. I was game! We don't get to shoot there often so for me it was a real treat! Tristan was a great model. he had a great smile and pulled off a serious look perfectly. I love the locations we shot at. I think the whole shoot was extremely colorful, dramatic and exciting. It was over way too fast. When we sat down to go through favorites, they loved so many of them that narrowing it down for the blog was a challenge! Tristan is a good dude. He's super nice, creative, easy going. We had a great time with him and his family. Hope you enjoy these and make sure to check out his interview!
T.H. Peterson: Favorite thing about going to SFT?
Tristan: I like that I am able to be on the dance team and accepted.
T.H. P.: How long have you been on the dance team? And what do you like most about it?
Tristan: Only this year. I wanted to do it all through high school, but I was so scared of messing up and/or being judged. I love performing at the games, that’s the moment where I can show people that I really love dancing, and that I’m really not bad.
T.H. P.: Is there another instrument you want to learn?
Tristan: Yes, I want to learn how to play the harp, or the piano really well.
T.H. P.: What's your favorite kind of music?
Tristan: It’s honestly concert band music. My favorite genre is NeoClassical. It’s fast, ominous, and really cool.
T.H. P.: Describe yourself with a song title.
Tristan: Jealous by Nick Jonas.
T.H. P.: You seem to have a great relationship with your mom and grandma. What do you love most about them?
Tristan: They’re (mostly) always there for me. They support (almost) every decision of mine. Plus, they love me.

T.H. P.: What do you love to do in your free time?
Tristan: I play instruments, dance, write music, and hang out with friends. I’m really simple like that.
T.H. P.: What would you like to do after high school?
Tristan: I want to go to college. I want to be a music major and go into pre-law. I then want to finish law school, and the big goal for my life is to play in the band that plays music for Disney songs, or to play in the pit orchestra on Broadway.
T.H. P.: What kind of student are you?
Tristan: I’m the trustworthy, yet lazy student. Most teachers love me, I think..
T.H. P.: What did you enjoy most about your shoot with us?
Tristan: Probably getting yelled at to get off the wall of the memorial. There weren’t any signs that said not to stand, sit, or lean on it, but I got scolded at over the intercom. It scared me half to death, I’m still laughing about it.

T.H. P.: How did you learn to play so many instruments?
Tristan: I taught myself all of them except for violin, I learned violin from Granddad Jay.
