Ashlee's maternity session - Beautiful country maternity shoot at Iliff Commons - Topeka's Best Maternity and Baby Photographers

This was an awesome maternity shoot! The weather was beautiful and the location was amazing! Ashlee was glowing and was so happy surrounded by the ones she loves.. including her puppers! We picked Iliff Commons and it was such a gorgeous spot at sunset for her session. The warm glow coming through was the perfect setting for her session! These are some of my favorites! Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! Sadly the tulips are all gone however the lush greenery made a perfect backdrop anywhere we posed this adorable family! Jacob and Emily’s wedding was like something out of a fairytale. Held at the charming Stony Point Hall, just a short drive from Baldwin and Lawrence, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The venue, Stony Point Hall, was the perfect backdrop for their special day. Nestled in the countryside, it exudes rustic charm and elegance, setting the scene for a dreamy celebration. With the beautiful cloudy skies, there was a coolness in the air that made everything feel just right. As Emily made her way down the aisle, Jacob couldn’t help but be overcome with emotion. I was so excited to photograph Larae as she is the beautiful baby of a very long time client, like probably 15-20 years. So this was a very special occasion that I wanted to make sure was absolutely perfect and it was! Larae is just precious and such a chill baby! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Destrie: I have always loved the name Diego, and so I knew when I had a second boy he would have that name. T.H. P.: What does big bro think? Destrie: His brother is in total awe of him. What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life.
