Interview with Jack Dougan - Washburn Rural Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Jack is a one of a kind. He was so much fun to hang out with and I absolutely loved his personality. FUN. That's the way I would describe him. He's confident, humble and very comfortable with himself and I LOVE that. It made photographing him so easy. On top of that, he really had an interest in the session itself. He wanted to be there and it really shows in his images. I just love every picture of him! We got the perfect sunset for his session and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening to do these! I really enjoy spending time with his family and am honored that we were able to create these memories for Jack and his amazing family! Thank you for checking out his session!

T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?

Jack: After high school I plan on becoming a traveling heavy diesel field

mechanic.

T.H. P.: What makes a good hat?

Jack: You don’t just see a get hat you buy a hat you like the look of and pray it wears in to fit your head it’s a long process but once you’ve found it you try to keep it intact.

T.H. P.: How did you get into diesel mechanics?

Jack: I really just fell in love with turning a wrench on anything I possibly could. I love being able to pick up where others left off and working through the problem to find a solution. What drove me toward the diesel side is just the power behind the engine and how every product you use has at some point been in contact with the diesel industry.

T.H. P.: Dream job? (Think big!)

Jack: My dream job would be to open up my own field mechanic business giving young individuals the chance that I received, and keep dying trade alive.

T.H. P.: What is something you enjoyed about your session with us?

Jack: In all the sessions I’ve had with tommy I love how he shapes it to you and your thoughts and how he makes you genuinely laugh even if you don’t want to.

T.H. P.: You have glorious hair.  Give me your hair secrets.
Jack: The hair comes with a lot of patience and knots just make sure to keep it clean and it should look good.

T.H. P.: Favorite season?

Jack: My favorite season has got to be winter makes work much more enjoyable and my favorite thing to do comes back into season water fowl and deer hunt.

T.H. P.: What’s your favorite meal? Jack: My favorite meal is anything with beef I also love chicken wings. And it’s hard to beat macaroni and cheese.

T.H. P.: Who makes you laugh?

Jack:  I laugh quite ofton with the stupid jokes I hear from buddy’s and people at work.

T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you? Jack: Something most people would be surprised about is that I actually like to cook.
