Kynsleigh's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers
T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like? Any food aversions or cravings?
Jenessa: My pregnancy with Kynsleigh was extremely mild for the first half, and then became more complicated toward the end. It was a high-risk pregnancy, and we found out at 28 weeks gestation she had an aneurysm inside of her belly on the umbilical vein. After heavy monitoring of that and preeclampsia late in pregnancy, we could not have been more excited for her delivery date to finally arrive, albeit 3 weeks early. Cravings were very mild: jalapeƱos in the beginning, sushi in the third trimester and sweets in the last few weeks.
T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw Kynsleigh?
Jenessa: We both had so many emotions, but mostly just grateful to have a healthy baby girl after some very serious complications in utero. She is just perfect!
T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name?
Jenessa: We went through several options, but we both just fell in love with the name Kynsleigh immediately. The spelling was based off my middle name “Leigh” and her middle name “Elizabeth” is her paternal grandma’s middle name.
T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?
Jenessa: It was very low stress for handling a newborn. The photographers were patient with her waking up and needing feedings, which was very helpful!
T.H. P.: What has life been like adjusting to a new baby?
Jenessa: While this is not our first rodeo with a newborn at home, our other children are all 9 years old and older, so the biggest adjustment I feel like was for her big brothers. They are the best big brothers though and are great little helpers! To book your own session, you can check out our promotion at bit.ly/PetersonNewborns or reach us at tommy@thpetersonphoto.com
