Interview with Link - Speedway High School (Speedway, IN) - Class of 2025 - Topeka, KS Senior Portrait Photographers

Meeting Link and her crew was awesome! They were so fun and laid back. It was a blast. Link is from Indiana but was here on break and we were able to get some really creative images of her. I loved the color and beauty of her session. We took them in NOTO, Gage Park and a beautiful neighborhood nearby. The session just flew by as we got the best smiles and laughs. A truly wonderful session.

T.H. Peterson: What is your dream job? 

Link: My dream job is to be a shark biologist and conservationist.


T.H. P.: Favorite part of your session with us? 

Link: My favorite part of our session was when some random old guy came up to us asking Tommy to take his picture.

T.H. P.: What are your favorite classes this year? 

Link: My favorite classes are color guard, band, choir, and AP environmental science. 

T.H. P.: I love your hair color.  What color would you like to try next? 

Link: I plan on keeping my hair purple for a while but I think I might try red again.

T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you? 

Link: I think people might be surprised to know that I get scared really easily. I have a hard time watching horror movies and stuff, and I am terribly afraid of jump scares.

T.H. P.: What’s your super power? 

Link: My superpower is definitely sleeping. I love sleeping and I’m super good at it.

T.H. P.: Are you an adventurous person? 

Link: I would like to think I’m an adventurous person, but I also sometimes have a hard time getting out of my comfort zone.

T.H. P.: Using the letters of your name describe your self with each letter.  

Link:
L - Loyal and lethargic
I - Impulsive and irritable
N - Nosey and nervous
K - Ketchup hater and klutzy

T.H. P.: Favorite season.  

Link: My favorite season is autumn

T.H. P.: What song reminds you of your childhood.
Link: Fun, Fun, Fun by the Beach Boys reminds me of my childhood because I loved listening to The Beach Boys growing up (and still do)

One of my favorite families! I was blessed to see these guys at one our last studio events this year and we got some beautiful images of their family! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

I recently had the joy of photographing an adorable baby named Forrest. He was so sweet, and his expressions could melt anyone’s heart. His mom was completely head over heels for him, and it was easy to see why. We set up a variety of different scenes to capture his cuteness, and he looked precious in every single one. From soft, cozy blankets to playful props, Forrest’s personality shined through in every photo. It was such a fun session, and I loved seeing the bond between Forrest and his mom. This holiday season, I had the pleasure of photographing the Hight and Fenoglio family in our studio. With the whole family together for Christmas, it was the perfect opportunity to create beautiful portraits that will be treasured for years to come. Lainey's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

This was a very special session. Miss Lainey is so tiny and beautiful and her mommy and daddy are absolutely in love! She is so sweet. Mom and dad had a few ideas, including posing her with dad's BDUs from when he was in the Army. Those were really special. Here are a few of our favorites from the session! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Lainey? Aubrey: How perfect and beautiful she was. That she is the final piece to our family.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Aubrey: We decided we wanted a Name that started L. Lainey’s dad would give lists of L names to me and I was never set on any of them. We almost decided to go with something different than L. I asked Chris his opinion of Lainey and he told me that he thought of that name recently but was done with getting turned down on all the lists of names he had came up with. Last week, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful baby girl named Laya in our studio. She was the perfect baby, so calm and peaceful throughout the session. Her mom and big brother came along, and you could just feel how much they love her. It was such a sweet moment seeing how they looked at her with so much pride and joy. We tried so many adorable newborn poses and props, and Laya absolutely rocked every single one of them. She gave us the cutest little expressions, making the photos even more special. From cozy wraps to tiny headbands, every setup just seemed to fit her perfectly. Laya was such a chill baby, which made the whole session a dream. T.H. Photographing the Rees and Collier families is always a joy, and their recent generational session was no exception. We gathered at mom and dad’s family farm, where the kids grew up—a stunning countryside backdrop complete with a red barn and grazing horses. Interview with Robert - Royal Valley Class of 2025 - Topeka's Best Senior Photos

I had the pleasure of photographing Robert, a high school senior from Royal Valley High. Robert is not just your average senior—he’s a football player with an amazing smile and one of the friendliest personalities you could ever meet. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for his session. The weather was perfect, and the sunlight gave everything a warm, golden glow. We started at Ward Meade Park, which is one of my favorite spots. The mix of colorful fall leaves and historic charm gave us some incredible backdrops. Robert was a natural in front of the camera, and his cheerful personality made it easy to capture some great shots. Afterward, we headed out to the countryside near the Governor's Mansion and the Kansas River. The scenery was stunning, especially as the sun began to set.
