Interview with Preston - Silver Lake Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits
I had such a great time photographing Preston downtown on the 4th of July! He
wanted to show off his patriotism, and he really brought the spirit with red, white,
and blue clothes, an American flag, and some colorful smoke bombs. Even though
it was the middle of the day and pretty warm, he had such a good attitude the whole
time. His great smile and fun personality made the session really enjoyable.
Preston is an athlete too, but we decided to save that part of his story for another session. This time was all about celebrating the holiday and capturing his love for his country. He was so much fun to hang out with, and we got some really awesome shots. Here are a few of our favorites from his session!
T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school?
Preston: College. Currently trying to decide between Washburn and Baker University.
T.H. P: What is your dream job?
Preston: Helping kids with special needs.
T.H. P: Something you liked about your session with us?
Preston: You guys were funny and it just seemed like we were hanging out. Not sweating to death in a random alley.
T.H. P: Classes you’re glad to be done with?
Preston: Technically I’m not gonna be “done” since I’m going to college, but I would have to say at least high school English.
T.H. P: Favorite sport you play? Preston: I don’t have a favorite. I like football, wrestling, powerlifting and baseball equally. If I HAD to choose though it would probably be baseball.
T.H. P: What's your current powerlifting totals and what is your goal for this year?
Preston: I currently hold 4 school records in my weight class. My senior year goal is to break all 4 of my current records.
T.H. P: Earliest memory playing football?
Preston: I think I was in 2nd grade playing tackle football. One game that year I got completely leveled like feet came off the ground flying and I landed right on my elbow and broke it.
T.H. P: Favorite athlete?
Preston: Probably Salvy from the KC Royals.
T.H. P: Favorite thing mom cooks?
Preston: Chicken Fettuccine.
T.H. P: Last movie you saw and what did you think?
Preston: Megan 2.0 I thought it was better than the first one.
