Melvin's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers
Meet sweet little Melvin! He was such a precious baby during his newborn session. We tried lots of different poses, and even though he didn’t really fall asleep, that was totally okay because he gave us the cutest little expressions. One of his faces even looked just like Mom—and she mentioned in her interview that he mostly looks like her, and I have to agree!
We also had so much fun including big brother and big sister in the session. I loved capturing those sweet moments of all of them together as a family. This was such a special milestone, and I’m so glad we got to document it for them. They were such a joy to work with, and I can’t wait for them to look back on these memories for years to come!
T.H. Peterson: How did you come up with Melvin's name?
Lacy: Melvin was Jacob’s great uncle that was more like a grandfather to him.
Lacy: He looks like both of us but mostly like me.
T.H. P: Did you have any food aversions or cravings during pregnancy?
Lacy: Aversions to pork and deer meat and I craved a lot of sweets and cotton candy grapes.
T.H. P: Something you liked about your session with us?
Lacy: Close to home, family oriented, willing to make our funny head swap pose a reality during the maternity session.
T.H. P: Hardest part of pregnancy?
Lacy: Swelling and exhaustion.
