T.H. Peterson Photography

I met Alex when he was younger and was doing family photos for his family. When I saw him again for his senior session, I was really surprised to see how much he had grown up into a strong young man. I know it's silly to say but I was still picturing him as the young kid. The cool thing is we did his session on his family's property like we did back when we did the family portraits. The land is so beautiful and interesting it makes the perfect backdrop for his session. They have barns, a lake, trees, tall grass, you name it, the perfect rural country setting. And the best part was, it's all him. He's a very genuine and down to earth and it was really easy to photograph him. He's truly personable. When we were asked to shoot Josh’s session, we were so excited that his parents chose us!  Our first impression of Josh was how comfortable he was with us, how genuine his laughs were and how open to ideas he was!  We loved the pictures of him in his K-State shirt, but when we took him to the old warehouse and had him pose with the smoke, it blew our minds!  He looked so tough in his pictures.  Little did we know how gangster he was going to look when we posed him with his shotgun and his bow and arrow!  Seriously, this shoot is one of our favorites!  We are so excited for you to check it out! T.H. Peterson:  How have your goals changed since you started as a freshman to now? Josh:  Freshman year I started out not really knowing what I wanted to do so I didn’t really try in school but I knew I wanted to be good at track so I really focused on that but now I really know what I want to do so I’ve started really trying in school.  Sydney Knight is quite the outdoor loving girl! We've been fortunate enough to photograph her several times already and it is a blast everytime. Sydney is so cute and smiley and that's one of my favorite things about her! She has such a great smile and is so happy that anytime we tried to get her to look serious for a photo, she cracked up! Sydney is also an amazing hunter. Recently on facebook she posted a photo of herself with a coyote she killed by shooting it straight in the heart. Like her mom said, "You know how many men can't even do that?!" That's crazy awesome! She also knows how to girl it up for her photos. Her black dress looked so awesome and her closeups were some of our favorites from the whole session! Sydney picked out her favorites for her blog post and I think she picked some great ones!
