Interview with Josh Ronnebaum - Class of 2021 - Blue Valley West High School - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits
When we were asked to shoot Josh’s session, we were so excited that his parents chose us! Our first impression of Josh was how comfortable he was with us, how genuine his laughs were and how open to ideas he was! We loved the pictures of him in his K-State shirt, but when we took him to the old warehouse and had him pose with the smoke, it blew our minds! He looked so tough in his pictures. Little did we know how gangster he was going to look when we posed him with his shotgun and his bow and arrow! Seriously, this shoot is one of our favorites! We are so excited for you to check it out!
T.H. Peterson: How have your goals changed since you started as a freshman to now?
Josh: Freshman year I started out not really knowing what I wanted to do so I didn’t really try in school but I knew I wanted to be good at track so I really focused on that but now I really know what I want to do so I’ve started really trying in school.
T.H. P.: If you could take a dream vacation anywhere with anyone, where would you go and who would you take with you?
Josh: My dream vacation would be a hunting trip to Montana and hunting Elk and I would take my brother Matt since he’s into hunting as well and it would be really cool for us to go on a big hunt.
T.H. P.: If money was no object, what kind of vehicle would you drive and why?
Josh: I would drive an all black F250 with a lift kit and meaty tires on it but my fun car would for sure be either a Dodge Demon or a 1967 Mustang GT500.
T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Josh: People would be surprised that I can speak decent French.
T.H. P.: What is your secret power?
Josh: My secret power is being able to see the good in people over the bad in people.
T.H. P.: What was your favorite part of the session with us?
Josh: My favorite part was just talking to all three of you guys because I just love talking to new people and getting to know people so I really enjoyed talking to you guys.
T.H. P.: How do you feel about being a senior? What emotions do you feel about your senior year?
Josh: I’m bitter sweet about being senior, I feel like I’m ready to be out on my own and be truly challenged every day in all aspects of college. But not being around my best friends and family all the time will definitely be tough to deal with.
T.H. P.: What are your plans after graduation?
Josh: My plans after graduation is to start getting prepared for college by learning how to cook really well but also just enjoying my summer and finally me and my best friends will be taking a guys trip to Colorado for a week and rent a log cabin out in the woods.
T.H. P.: If you could spend the day with any celebrity who would it be and what would you do?
Josh: I would love to hang out with John Dudley. He's a professional archer and runs his own company Nock On Archery. I just think being able to pick his brain about archery and all his techniques would be an amazing experience.
T.H. P.: Who has influenced you this far in your life and how have they impacted you?
Josh: My Dad is my biggest influence. He’s taught me how to be a good man and has made me the man I am today. My dad has also taught me many life lessons that are unforgettable and he keeps me accountable in everything I do. He’s also the most respectable person I’ve ever met and I strive to be like him every day.
