Cutie Pies Brynlee and Sadie on the blog! Lyndon, Topeka, KS Best Children's Photographers

 It was hard narrowing down our favorites from this awesome session with Brynlee and Sadie! They were so cute and smiley EVEN THOUGH it was actually raining when we showed up. We were set up to do them outdoors but we had to get creative with posing them so we started under their porch which actually worked out great while we waited for the rain to subside. It was beautiful though. The clouds overhead and the lush green grass and trees made for perfect light and a beautiful backdrop for their session. They lasted the whole session smiling awesome and I'm just thriled with the results. And to top it off, this was a secret for Father's Day which I think is just awesome! Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! Jacob and Emily’s wedding was like something out of a fairytale. Held at the charming Stony Point Hall, just a short drive from Baldwin and Lawrence, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. I was so excited to photograph Larae as she is the beautiful baby of a very long time client, like probably 15-20 years. So this was a very special occasion that I wanted to make sure was absolutely perfect and it was! Larae is just precious and such a chill baby! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life.
