 Such a beautiful little girl! Anakyn has such a sweet face and photographing her was a lot of fun. I also loved getting images with her family. Those were super special to me. Thank you for checking out her session. Hope you enjoy!
T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Anakyn Jo?
Jessie: What did you think when you first saw Anakyn Jo?
What a precious little love! Emphasis on little!
T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name?
Jessie: Well, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a Star Wars fan, which is where I first heard the name. I fell in love with the name when I was very young and my husband agreed that it would be perfect for our little girl.
T.H. P.: Did you have any foods that grossed you out or that you craved during pregnancy?
Jessie: Not so much with Anakyn, I wanted anything sweet but that’s pretty typical for me. Her brother on the other hand I loved eating peanut butter, Dorito, and Tabasco sandwiches.
T.H. P.: Who do you think she looks like most?
Jessie: Well neither of us as of right now, though she could be twins with her big brother when he was her age and he looks a lot like me!
T.H. P.: Describe her personality in a word.
Jessie: I can already tell that she is very sweet and super chill!

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! I was so excited to photograph Larae as she is the beautiful baby of a very long time client, like probably 15-20 years. So this was a very special occasion that I wanted to make sure was absolutely perfect and it was! Larae is just precious and such a chill baby! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life. Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. During our first moments together, she just stared at me and was so calm, I couldn’t have fallen more in love.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes. She’s already gotten the nickname of Coco as well, which is so cute.  T.H. P.: What is life like with a new baby in the house?
