Interview with Ki-Bo Throssell - Royal Valley Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits
Ki-Bo’s senior session at Ted Ensley Gardens was one of my favorites this year. We got up early to catch the sunrise over the lake, and even though rain made us postpone the first try, it was worth the wait. The sky was full of dramatic clouds that made the morning light extra beautiful. Ki-Bo was absolutely stunning and so natural in front of the camera. Her smile and sweet giggle made every photo feel full of life.
We explored the whole garden, finding so many great spots and angles to work with. From the lake views to the flowers and trees, every background seemed to match her calm and joyful spirit. Ki-Bo made my job easy, and I’m so happy with how her photos turned out. I know these images will be such a special part of her senior year!
Ki-Bo: My earliest memories are playing on a team called the Jaguars with my friends in Holton where we mostly just had fun and didn't really care about winning. My favorite memories were all the team bonding activities we did like Christmas Caroling.
T.H. P.: What is something you liked about your session with us?
Ki-Bo: I liked how kind Tommy was and how he was able to make me laugh to get realistic shots of me smiling, he also just had really good ideas for backgrounds and poses.
T.H. P.: Where would you like to visit one day?
Ki-Bo: I want to visit Hawaii or France. No particular reason other than the fact that they're cool.
T.H. P.: Favorite thing mom cooks?
Ki-Bo: Everything my mom makes is delicious but my favorite meal she makes is lasagna with a side of a zucchini and squash mix.
T.H. P.: Something people would be surprised to learn about you?
Ki-Bo: I'm really bad at painting now but I used to paint a lot during covid with my mom.
T.H. P.: What kind of student are you?
Ki-Bo: I mostly excel in reading, writing, and history and most of the reason I passed math and science was because of my best friend helping me. (Thank you, Nalanie 💗)
T.H. P.: Dream job?
Ki-Bo: My dream job is to be a flight attendant because I could travel the world but I don't think I could handle being away from family that often. My second option is Physical Therapy because I enjoy helping people and I like to be active and on my feet.
T.H. P.: Secret super power?
Ki-Bo: I'm really good at learning new languages like most of the words just seem to click pretty easily for me.
T.H. P.: Funniest person you know?
Ki-Bo: My mom because she's so sarcastic and I get most of my humor from her.

Occupational Therapy.

Ki-Bo: My earliest memories are playing on a team called the Jaguars with my friends in Holton where we mostly just had fun and didn't really care about winning. My favorite memories were all the team bonding activities we did like Christmas Caroling.
