Interview with Larissa Cooper - 2016 Washburn Rural H.S. Grad - Topeka's Premier Senior Portrait Photographers

I absolutely loved Larissa's session! We had a great day for doing them and she was excited about doing them. That always helps. She has such a great giggle and laugh. I love her smile but her serious face is great. A lot of people can't pull off the serious look but her's was great. She was also completely willing to be 100% goofy in front of us. To me that is awesome. Larissa is such a cool girl and she was a lot of fun to hang out with. Even though we only started photographing her a few years ago, I feel that I have seen her grow up even in those few short years. As always it's great to see her mom, who accompanied her for her session. So these were taken at Shawnee Lake and then we made our way over to the governor's mansion and finally finished on a local high school track for her color guard photos. Now what you've been waiting for, her session! These are 12 photos I especially loved from her shoot. Enjoy! Please feel free to comment on the blog or on our facebook page!
T.H. Peterson: What makes Washburn Rural such a great school to go to?
Larissa: I believe the best part of Washburn would have to be how great of an education that I have been given. As much as I may hate to get up in the mornings at least Washburn gives me a good education.
T.H. P.: What is your favorite class?
Larissa: Now overall my favorite class from all of high school is an extremely close tie between both biology and marching band, quite the contrast but both were so fun.
T.H. P.: Your color guard portraits are some of my favorite. What’s the funnest and
hardest things about being in color guard?
Larissa: They are some of my favorite too(: The funniest part of colorguard would have to be all the moments that happen backstage to the performances, from hours of getting ready to the bus rides to the singing and dances that happen everywhere theres a chance to. The hardest part for me is the persistence that is needed as you go through the same eight counts making sure every check point is right and in sync with the other guard members.
T.H. P.: Pick a superpower.
Larissa: If I had a choice I want the power to fill things. Now think about it, Bank account not full? Fill that sucker up. Someone annoying you? Fill that little bladder of theirs. Wanna be filled with knowledge? Done. Refrigerator lacking? Guess what, that thing is full now. Really the possibilities are endless.
T.H. P.: Who is your role model and why?
Larissa: I would have to say my mom. My mom is the one to constantly influence me. Shes always there for me and I get told a lot that I have a lot of her traits in me.
T.H. P.: What movie, no matter how many times you have seen it, do you have to watch when it is on?
Larissa: Probably decide to start a brand new show and binge watch it(Over eight seasons) during finals time. Not a wise choice of mine. I think that should count as crazy. I felt pretty darn crazy during that whole week. Who needed sleep. Not this chick.
T.H. P.: What book do you think everyone should read?
Larissa: The Percy Jackson series. Everyone needs a little awesome greek mythology story in their life.
T.H. P.: Describe a time you felt you were right, but you still had to follow directions or guidelines?
Larissa: Despite the fact I have the crazy urge to say every single minute in math class, I wont. Probably the next thing that comes to mind is home life. Like the fact that I may feel I am the one who is right but my parents are the ones who are in charge and the ones who I have to listen to.
T.H. P.: What is your favorite restaurant and why?

Larissa: Noodles- Im crazy in love with their Japanese Pan Noodles. Not sorry.
T.H. P.: What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
Larissa: Probably decide to start a brand new show and binge watch it(Over eight seasons) during finals time. Not a wise choice of mine. I think that should count as crazy. I felt pretty darn crazy during that whole week. Who needed sleep. Not this chick.
