Interview with Kendall Prather - 2017 Shawnee Heights Grad - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers
No question, this is a must see session. I met Kendall last year during a family session at Kansas Museum in the fall (which was so beautiful I must say!) But now it was her turn! A session just for her and she ROCKED it!! Kendall had great outfits, and her locations were super cool. We shot them primarily downtown Topeka and a few around town, in a beautiful patch of wild flowers and ended up just after sunset at Shawnee Lake. The sky was a saturated purplish pink. It was super awesome! I love Kendall's smile. Her smile and eyes light up her photos! She's beautiful, no doubt about it. Her shoot I think not only show that off but easily show off personality. Really happy with how her session turned out!! A session I won't soon forget. Thank you for checking out Kendall's shoot. Also, take time to read our interview with her. A fun read!
T.H. Peterson: What do you like best about Shawnee Heights?
Kendall: I have some really amazing best friends that go to Shawnee Heights with me, wouldn't trade them for anything!
T.H. P.: What makes you laugh?
Kendall: Everyone knows if the laugh is funnier than the joke, the jokes are 10X better and everyone laughs 10X harder.
T.H. P.: What sort of social issues are most important to you?
Kendall: I would like everyone to be treated 100% equal no matter your race or sexuality. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way.

Kendall: I love the outdoors especially in the summertime.
T.H. P.: Favorite vacation memory?
Kendall: This past Christmas I tanned on the beach on Christmas Day!
T.H. P.: What’s the best advice your mom ever gave you?
Kendall: "Bring a sweatshirt to the movies it's always cold in there." I should start listening to that one lol.
T.H. P.: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Kendall: When my dogs are waking up in the morning licking their lips and chomping their mouth... omg I can't.
T.H. P.: If you had to blow $100 on something frivolous what would you spend it on?
Kendall: I would spend it all at my favorite store in the mall, Wet Seal or American Eagle!
T.H. P.: You were super fun to photograph. What was your favorite thing about your session with us?!
Kendall: All the places we went were unique and so pretty, all places I haven't seen before.
T.H. P.: How far can you run before you get tired and stop?
Kendall: Like half a mile, maybe, I don't run..
T.H. P.: What do you want people to know about you?
Kendall: I love chips and salsa, I could eat it every single day!
T.H. P.: What restaurant has the best chips and salsa?
Kendall: Margarita Jaliscos
T.H. P.: Tell me about your tattoo and do you have plans for more?

Kendall: It means "An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming." And yes, I definitely plan on getting more tattoos!
