Interview with Taylor Stirton - 2017 Seaman High School Grad - Topeka's Best Senior Portrait Photographers

WOWOWOWOWOW!!! Taylor is one beautiful girl. Photographing her was a blast! I love her personality and her session was just amazing. Honestly, it was her personality that made photographing her so much fun. She's laid back, easy going, she laughs a lot, which I LOVE... it was truly a great session. She has a great smile and I love the locations we were able to shoot at for her shoot. For Taylor, an important aspect was her volleyball... and I feel that her volleyball images freaking rocked!!! T.H. Peterson: Best thing about Seaman High?
Taylor: The best thing about Seaman High is how close the community is and the sports because everyone comes together to watch them.
T.H. P.: Who is the funniest teacher at Seaman High and why?
Taylor: Mr. Schmidt is the funniest teacher because he always jokes around with the students and usually makes class fun.
T.H. P.: What's your favorite thing about playing volleyball? 
Taylor: The best thing about playing volleyball is winning a close game after making a comeback and all of the friendships I've made with my teammates.
T.H. P.: Fondest high school memory?
Taylor: My favorite memories are with all my friends because we are always laughing, but specifically driving around dancing and singing with Faith Belletto.
T.H. P.: Favorite thing about your session with us?
Taylor: My favorite thing about my session would be getting to know you guys and my step dad flashing me behind the camera.
T.H. P.: Favorite color you like in the clothes you wear?
Taylor: I like to wear are bright colors, but especially blue or red.
T.H. P.: What's the first thing you notice in a guy?
Taylor: The first thing I notice in a guy is if he is funny and if he can joke around or not.
T.H. P.: What are your plans after high school?
Taylor: After high school I plan to attend Maryville University to play volleyball.
T.H. P.: What misconceptions do older generations have about teenagers nowadays?
Taylor: A common misconception about teenagers would be that we are terrible drivers... but I'm a great driver.
T.H. P.: Scariest thing you've ever done?
Taylor: One of the scariest things I've ever done would be parasailing, but now it's one of my favorite things to do.
T.H. P.: Are you more of an outdoorsy person or do you prefer to be indoors? 
Taylor: I like to be indoors but I also like to be outdoors swimming. 
T.H. P.: How about cloudy or sunny days, what do you like better?
Taylor: I like sunny days better especially when they are spent at the pool or the beach.
T.H. P.: What's your favorite breakfast meal?
Taylor: My favorite breakfast is chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate milk or my moms breakfast sandwiches.
T.H. P.: What's some wisdom you've gotten from your mom? 
Taylor: One of the biggest things she's taught me is to always work hard and to never give up.

Interview with Adrian Romero - Topeka West Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Adrian is a senior at Topeka West, graduating with the Class of 2026. She’s been playing soccer since 3rd grade, and her love for the game really showed during her session. She’s confident, driven, and full of energy—and on top of that, incredibly photogenic with a beautiful, bright smile. We spent a lot of time focusing on her passion for soccer, and it was clear how much it means to her. At the end of the session, we headed out to the water at Shawnee Lake, just in time for the most incredible sunset. The sky lit up in a rich orange glow, giving us the perfect backdrop. I recently had the joy of photographing sweet little Dannie for her newborn session. She is absolutely precious and so tiny! It feels like just yesterday I was capturing her big sister's newborn photos, and it's always such a treat to see this wonderful family again. They are completely in love with their newest addition, and you can feel the joy and love they have for her in every moment. Shelbi is a senior at Shawnee Heights High School, and photographing her was such a joy! We started at her home, and her backyard was like a hidden park—full of gorgeous spots for pictures. Shelbi has the sweetest personality and a smile that lights up every photo. She was so easygoing and fun to be around, which made the session feel relaxed and natural. Reese Jentry's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Baby Reese Jentry came to the studio for her session, and she was absolutely perfect! Mom and Dad brought along Dad’s Army uniform, and we were able to include it in some of her photos, which made the session so special and meaningful. It was such a beautiful way to honor his service and create a memory they’ll cherish forever. Reese was surrounded by so much love from Mom, Dad, and her two big brothers. They were all so smitten with her, and it was heartwarming to see how much she is already adored. I had such a great time photographing Higgins, a senior from Washburn Rural High School. He’s such a cool guy with tons of confidence and personality, which really came through in his photos. We started his session in front of the Federal Home Loan Bank — a spot I’d never shot at before — and I was blown away by the beautiful architecture and landscaping. It was the perfect backdrop for his dressy outfit and set the tone for some really sharp, classy images. After that, we headed to Cypress Ridge Golf Course to showcase Higgins’ passion for golf. The weather couldn’t have been better, and we captured some truly stunning shots of him out on the course. We wrapped up the evening at Kaw River Park just as the sun was setting over the water, giving us the most perfect, glowing images to end the session. A few weeks ago I had the privilege of photographing MaKayla from Silver Lake during an early morning sunrise session at her school. We started on the softball field, and the sky put on the most colorful display — pinks, oranges, and purples that made the perfect backdrop for her softball photos. You could clearly see how much she loves the sport in every shot, and the sunrise made the whole scene feel really special. After we finished on the field, we headed inside the school to capture some awesome wrestling photos. Even though MaKayla recently injured her thumb, she didn’t let that slow her down one bit. I had such a great time photographing Preston downtown on the 4th of July! He wanted to show off his patriotism, and he really brought the spirit with red, white, and blue clothes, an American flag, and some colorful smoke bombs. Even though it was the middle of the day and pretty warm, he had such a good attitude the whole time. His great smile and fun personality made the session really enjoyable. Jayce's senior session was such a fun one! We started in the NOTO Arts District, where the colorful murals and artistic vibe gave us a great backdrop. The sun was low in the sky, casting a warm golden light that made everything glow. Jayce was easygoing and had a great smile, which made my job super easy. He brought a relaxed energy to the shoot, and we had a good time exploring the area and finding cool spots to shoot. After that, we made our way out to Shawnee State Fishing Lake just in time for sunset. The sky was glowing over the water, and it looked absolutely amazing.
