Walter Lee's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Mr Walter is such a precious little baby! We had a great time posing him and working with him. He has such a sweet face. It was really special creating these images for mom and dad and also being able to incorporate them into the session. One thing I especially loved was photographing Megan in her maternity dress with Walter. That was such a special and unique image. Here's a handful of our favorites. We hope you enjoy!

T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you found out you were pregnant?

Megan: We found out I was pregnant the morning of our house warming party over

the summer. We were both so excited but also worried/hesitant to be overly excited

since our first pregnancy had ended in a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks.

T.H. P.: What was your pregnancy like? Any food aversions or cravings?

Megan: Overall it was a pretty easy pregnancy. My first trimester I had no appetite and suffered from morning sickness if I did eat. I ended up losing 25 pounds over the pregnancy, but gained back about 10 pounds in my third trimester. My main cravings were Taco Bell bean burritos and BBQ ribs. I did not care for the smell of grease from meat being cooked, especially sausage/breakfast foods.

T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw Walter?

Megan: My first thought when I first saw Walter was that everything we had gone through to get to this point was worth it.

T.H. P.: How did you come up with his name?

Megan: Walter is Adam’s grandfathers name and Lee is my father’s middle name. Two very important people in the development of who we became throughout our lives.

T.H. P.: Who does he look like? Megan: Walter has attributes of us both, but he looks more like Adam. Even down to his two different ear shapes.
