Emily and Jacob's Magical Wedding at Stony Point Hall - Beautiful Kansas celebration - Lawrence, Topeka, KS Wedding Photographers

Jacob and Emily’s wedding was like something out of a fairytale. Held at the charming Stony Point Hall, just a short drive from Baldwin and Lawrence, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The venue, Stony Point Hall, was the perfect backdrop for their special day. Nestled in the countryside, it exudes rustic charm and elegance, setting the scene for a dreamy celebration. With the beautiful cloudy skies, there was a coolness in the air that made everything feel just right.

As Emily made her way down the aisle, Jacob couldn’t help but be overcome with emotion. Tears of joy welled up in his eyes as he watched his beautiful bride approach him, surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family.

After the heartwarming ceremony, it was time to party! And boy, did they know how to throw a celebration. The food was absolutely incredible, with delicious tacos that had everyone going back for seconds. And instead of the traditional wedding cake, they opted for something a little different – donuts! Creative and DELICIOUS, it was a sweet treat that perfectly reflected their fun-loving personalities.

But the fun didn’t stop there. The party was filled with laughter and joy, with glow sticks and party favors adding an extra dash of excitement. The little ones especially loved getting in on the action, dancing and playing with their newfound treasures.

Jacob and Emily’s wedding was truly a day to remember. Surrounded by the people they love most in the world, they celebrated their love in style, creating memories that will last a lifetime. And as the night came to a close, it was clear that their journey together was just beginning – filled with endless love, laughter, and happily ever afters.

Oh Skylar! A beautiful baby with thick black hair and an adorable presence, stole our hearts with her funny expressions and cooperative demeanor during our photography session with her. I was so excited to photograph Larae as she is the beautiful baby of a very long time client, like probably 15-20 years. So this was a very special occasion that I wanted to make sure was absolutely perfect and it was! Larae is just precious and such a chill baby! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Janie and Jovie - Newborn session with Twins! Interview with Mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! They were perfect! What a wonderful session and what a special story mom has to tell! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you found out you were having twins? Taylor.: I was shocked and did not know anything about twins before being pregnant with them. I later found out identical twins are a fluke and do not run in families. It’s been been a learning experience for sure but I would not trade it for the world. T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw them? Taylor.: Due to complication of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, I had the girls via c-section at 29 weeks. My first glance  was brief before they were whisked away to the NICU.
