Interview with Joey Geier - Hayden High Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
I had a great time photographing Joey, a senior from Hayden High School. We started downtown, and it was the perfect spot to begin. The colors, old walls, and chipped paint made a really cool background that fit him well. After that, we went over to Gage Park, and the Rose Garden and pond gave us some nice, calm photos in a more natural setting. It was a good mix of spots that gave us a lot of variety. We ended the session at Hayden High School to take soccer photos, and those turned out to be some of my favorites. The lighting was dramatic and really showed Joey’s skill and love for the game. He was fun to hang out with the whole time, and I think the photos show his personality and interests really well. It was a fun session and a great way to celebrate his senior year. T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? Joey: Attend college to study mechanical engineering. T.H. P:   Dream job? Joey:   Mechanical engineer or soccer coach T.H. P:   How long have yo...

Charlotte's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
Sweet little Charlotte came to see us for her newborn session, and oh my goodness—what a beautiful baby! She has the most gorgeous head of hair and gave us so many adorable expressions, even while she was taking her time to settle in. Those little faces she made had us smiling the whole time, and she even surprised us with a few sweet baby smiles. We also loved capturing the special moments with her family. Mom and Dad were so sweet with her, and big brother was absolutely smitten—he couldn’t stop looking at her! The love they all have for Charlotte shines through in every picture. We are so thankful we were able to be a part of these memories, and we know these photos will be treasured for years to come. T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Charlotte? Emily: Seeing her felt like I could finally breathe. She was 4 days past her due date with no signs she was coming on her own. I started getting nervous thinking something was wrong. During my c-section when they fina...

We had such a great time photographing Mya’s senior session at Ted Ensley Gardens at Shawnee Lake! The weather was perfect, the lighting was beautiful, and the gardens were bursting with color—exactly what she wanted for her flower-filled theme. Mya is such a photogenic young lady with a wonderful personality, and she made the session feel so fun and natural. She truly brought the whole setting to life. During our time together, we talked about her love of singing, choir, and musicals, which showed just how creative and passionate she is. Mya has such a bright spirit, and I think that shines through in her portraits. We were able to capture so many amazing images in such a short time, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. This session was an absolute joy from start to finish! T.H. Peterson: Classes you’re glad to be done with? Myah:   Geometry. While I'm still in a college math class, I hated Geometry. T.H. P:   Plans after high school? Myah:   I ...

We had such a great time photographing McKenna’s senior pictures! We started at the Governor’s Mansion and then made our way down to the river at River State Park. The weather could not have been better—it was one of those afternoons where everything just came together perfectly. McKenna was such a natural in front of the camera, with a beautiful smile and great style. Her outfits fit the scenery so well and added even more to the overall look of her photos. Some of my favorite moments from the session were capturing her in the wildflowers, walking along the wooded paths, and of course down by the river. Each spot gave us something a little different, and McKenna made every photo shine. She was a joy to work with, and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite images from her session! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? McKenna: My plans after high school are to play softball in college and major in Nursing. T.H. P:   What classes are you glad to be ...
