Holland Rose came in for her newborn session and we were just so happy to photograph this beautiful little flower child!  She really loved being swaddled in all of those cute floral wraps! We also loved the earth tones that mom picked! We tried to match some of the colors from her older brother’s newborn session a few years back!  We nailed it! Holland looks so cute in all of her pictures and we know how much her parents loved all of her adorable images! Enjoy her blog! T.H. Peterson: What emotions did you feel when you found out you were going to have another baby? Shawna: We were beyond thrilled. We had been trying for a few months and we were so excited to add another little one to the family.  T.H. P.: What were some of your favorite things to eat during your pregnancy? Shawna: Chocolate milk was a nightly thing throughout my pregnancy.  T.H. P.: How is your son adjusting to Holland and being a big brother? Shawna: Beckett has done so good as a big brother. He

Hope came back for her one-year cake smash and had some great pictures taken to help remember the special day!  Mom brought a homemade cake for Hope to tear in to and that is exactly what she did! She dug into the cake with zero hesitation and had an awesome cake smash session!!  After some yummy cake, Hope was thrilled to dig her hands and feet into the icing, destroying the cake! We always love when they come to see us for our sessions, and we loved this epic cake smash!  Try not to get too hungry looking through this delicious cake smash session!!!! T.H. Peterson:  How has Hope's first year changed your family's life? Dawn:  Having more than one child is way more of an adjustment than I would have thought.  We had to learn to juggle our family activities and still make time for our family and each of the girls individually. Oh and trying to find our new “normal”, well I think we are still trying to figure this out. T.H. P.:  What is Hope's favorite

Madison and her dog, Bentley, had an amazing session around the Pomona area!  We started out at the ball field, then went out to an old farm near Appanoose, getting some amazing shots of her in the warm sunlight!  She and her little dog posed for us in a prairie grass field, by a big red barn and by some old cars! She had some really awesome photographs out here, and the light was perfect!  We finished the session out at Pomona Lake, and the sunset looked amazing and Madison’s session ended with some dynamite sky pics, she was even brave enough to get out in the lake for the end of the session!  We are thrilled with her pictures! Enjoy! T.H. Peterson:  Who has inspired you the most so far in life and how have they done that? Madison:   My Aunt Maria. She’s worked so hard to get to where she is now. She has always taught me to be myself and dance like nobody’s watching and go for it. She’s the best and I love her to the moon and back! T.H. P.:    Where do you see yourself

We visited DeDonder farms this week to photograph portraits of the DeDonder children and it was an amazing location! The corn was taller than anything we've seen before and the kids really enjoyed riding their tractors through the field. We were able to get some really neat shots of the four in the hay barn and in front of the sign at the farm's entrance. Cole, their little cousin was having so much fun, he did not want to leave! Using a location like this is really cool because it is such a unique location and so personal to the family. That's huge for us. They'll cherish these memories forever.
