Miss Raelynn on the blog - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Image
What an adorable little human! Raelynn was one of the most expressive babies we've ever photographed. We had lots of laughs as she made all sorts of faces and just looked adorable the whole time. Mom and dad are completely in love. It was great to be able to capture that special connection of the whole family. Here are some of our favorites from their session. Enjoy. T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like? Did you have any food aversions or cravings? Cara: Amazing. I never thought I’d enjoy and miss feeling her little kicks in there!  I absolutely hated the smell of eggs and never really craved specific things but when I wanted a certain food I was starving until I got it! T.H. P.: What was your first thought when you saw Raelynn? Cara: Holy cow she’s beautiful and I can’t believe I made that. Then when I looked over and saw her dad tearing up after telling me he wouldn’t it just made everything seem even more worth it. T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Cara: It was

Mycah's newborn session - Interview with mom - Topeka's Newborn Photographers

Image
Mycah was the most precious little baby! She was a perfect little model. I love the shots we were able to get of her. Even when she was awake, she was quiet and chill and gave us the most precious expressions! Here's a few of our favorites from the session. Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like with Mycah? Nicole: Mycah is a very special baby with a very special pregnancy. She is actually our ivf rainbow baby; as we lost our previous child at 23 weeks last year. We were very anxious and worried to go through that again, Mycah also is a twin; we lost her twin around 10 weeks. So to say she has been long awaited, desired, wanted and loved is an understatement. This was a very high risk pregnancy for us but we took it with as much grace as we could. We feel incredibly blessed.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Nicole: We chose Mycah as it has meaning in the Bible  the meaning meant “who is like God” we didn’t find out the gender of our baby til she was born so

What a gorgeous, sweet baby! Lorelai was a perfect little model for us. Once she really settled, she did perfect. I always think how much I love photographing these tiny humans but I think I realized photographing her, that one of the things that is the most special is how much the session is special for mom and dad. The connection and love that parents have during this special time, is so incredible to be able to document. I love it! Here's a few of our favorites! Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Lorelai? Hope:  When I first saw Lorelai I thought, I can't believe I just birthed a whole human.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Hope:  I actually got her name from a song, it's spelled differently but I just thought it sounded so pretty.  T.H. P.: What was your pregnancy like? Any food aversions or cravings? Hope:  I was really lucky and my pregnancy went very smoothly, however I constantly craved Pickles. I just couldn't get enough

Kynsleigh's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
What a beautiful baby! She was awake a lot and wanting to feed and even did her fair share of crying but when she settled, she just looked so peaceful! She is such a precious little human being and it was a pleasure to photograph her! Here's a few of our favorites and we're so happy you've checked out her session! T.H. Peterson: What was your pregnancy like? Any food aversions or cravings? Jenessa: My pregnancy with Kynsleigh was extremely mild for the first half, and then became more complicated toward the end. It was a high-risk pregnancy, and we found out at 28 weeks gestation she had an aneurysm inside of her belly on the umbilical vein. After heavy monitoring of that and preeclampsia late in pregnancy, we could not have been more excited for her delivery date to finally arrive, albeit 3 weeks early. Cravings were very mild: jalapeƱos in the beginning, sushi in the third trimester and sweets in the last few weeks. T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw Kynsleig

What a sweet baby! I feel honor to have photographed such a sweet family. She was so mellow and fun to photograph. And I really loved photographing her with mom and dad as you can see they are just so in love! What a special moment and time in their lives! Here's a few of our favorites! Thank you for checking out their session!! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you found out you were pregnant? Brooke: The years of trying, praying, and the fertility treatments were worth it.   T.H. P.: How did you tell Austin? Brooke: Austin was there when the doctor told us that the embryo had taken. We both looked at each other in awe. T.H. P.: Did you have any aversions to food when you were pregnant or cravings? Brooke: I ate a lot of Hot Tamales. T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us? Brooke: I liked all of the backdrops and outfits. You were good about keeping it going while the baby was in a good mood. T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw Ariana? Brooke: I j
