So when I was messaged about shooting Cora Lee’s birthday portraits, it sounded fun. But nothing could have prepared me for how awesome she was! She is absolutely adorable. I was told this in advance but somehow you have to meet her to truly get the sense of how cool this little lady is! She was ready to have a good time and I felt so special to be able to share this moment with her! She rocked her session! She had me laughing and was ready to try anything!! I am so impressed with her and especially that she is turning 95! What an amazing milestone!! Cora Lee is a special person that I know has impacted everyone she meets. Our session with the Lohmeyer family as so much fun! The farm was their backdrop but you could tell it was so much a part of their life and who they were. They spoke of it like it was family. I really admired that. They were a lot of fun to photograph and I loved their chemistry and connection. They are a tight knit family for sure. Boo, their young golden doodle had me cracking up too. He was running everywhere and a few times I was even scared I would step on him lol. Boo is the perfect name for him! Mom messaged me wanting to recreate an image from her kid's childhood. I think the recreation came out great!! This makes me smile just looking at and I know that her kids will really cherish having this when they're older. Afterwards we decided to do a quick session and get different combinations of family.
