Hannah was so much fun to photograph for her senior session at Ward Meade Park . One of the coolest parts of the day was when she showed me a photo we had taken of her when she was little. Even though it had been years, I actually remembered photographing her, which made for a fun trip down memory lane. Hannah has a bright personality and an amazing smile, and she was incredibly photogenic from the moment we started. Her mom came along for the session too, and it was great getting to spend some time with both of them. It was a warm day, but Hannah handled it like a pro. As a dancer, she knows how to bring energy and confidence in front of the camera, and it definitely showed in her photos. She wore two great outfits during the session. I loved the white dress she started with, and some of my favorite images came from that look. Her second outfit was bright orange, which happens to be my favorite color. We had such a great time photographing Mia for her senior portraits! She is a talented senior from Shawnee Heights and one of those people who is just naturally photogenic. She brought so much personality to her session with lots of beautiful smiles, great expressions, and some really amazing outfits. Her dogs joined us for part of the session, which made things even more fun. We started at Shawnee Lake and later headed downtown, finishing up around the Cyrus Hotel and the Capitol. Even though the weather wasn't ideal and we had to deal with some rain, Mia absolutely shined in every location. One of my favorite things about this session was seeing how confident and comfortable Mia was in front of the camera. We were able to create colorful, vibrant images that really showcase both her beauty and her fun personality. Jude’s senior session was such a fun one, and it was great getting to photograph him again. I’ve also photographed his family before, and one thing that has always stood out to me is how friendly and easygoing he is. He’s just a genuinely nice kid and was completely on board with all of the ideas we came up with during the session. We started at Shawnee Heights High School on the stage with his cello. His mom suggested the location, and I’m so glad she did because we were able to create some really dramatic images using mostly the stage lights. After that, we headed to the Kansas State Capitol, where the skies put on an amazing show for us. The beautiful clouds and evening light made for some of my favorite images from the session. From there, we made our way downtown and stopped at Evergy Plaza. By then it was getting dark, and the fountains were lit up with changing colors. Since Jude is heading to K-State, it was perfect when the lights turned purple while he was wearing his K-State...
