Mackenly and Ben came in for their Valentine's shoot and it was a blast. We had fun trying out all sorts of poses and they were really natural in front of the camera. The chemistry they have is great. It was rainy out, so we did most inside but we did manage to get a fun photo of them out in the rain. Here are a few of our favorite shots from their session.  Aaron and Chelsie are such a fun couple. I REALLY like their sense of humor and personalities. Very relaxed and down to earth. My favorite kind of couples! We had a great time on their session and while we were worried earlier that day the session might not happen (crazy unpredictable Kansas weather) the evening turned out beautiful and a perfect backdrop to their session. Kayla and Blake are such a great couple! We had an amazing time with them and they are such a fun and down to earth couple. Photographing their big day was full of emotion and tears and smiles. It was a photographer's dream. We started at Ramada Inn where everyone was getting ready and the ceremony took place at Lake Shawnee and the reception was back at Ramada Inn. Beautiful locations for their celebration! I especially enjoyed their bridal party. Really great group of friends and family! Kayla looked absolutely beautiful! I especially liked Kayla's hair do. Really pretty! One thing about the day was the lighting. All week we had rain and it was a real concern that this outdoor wedding was going to suffer because of it, but no rain on her wedding! Just nice overcast lighting which made for amazing light! It just made their day that much more awesome! So several months ago Q and Monica celebrated their five year anniversary and they did so by celebrating with friends and family over a vow renewal. It was really a sweet thing to be a part of. To hear them express their love for each other and support for each other, made me happy to be a part of it. The emotion was strong and you can tell their dedication for each other and the love their friends and family have for them as well is so powerful. Had a fun time photographing Nikki and Luke for their engagement session. Since the moment we met them for their wedding consultation we clicked with them. They are so easy going and funny. Philip and Alexandra are photography friends. They visited us last year and they came again this year. Except this year, I went to pick them up. They are engaged and I thought it would be fun to take a wild ride through the country and do an awesome engagement session of them. Here's a list of places we went. I'm probably missing some. Atlanta, GA Biloxi, MS New Orleans, LA Grand Isle, LA Baton Rouge, LA Paris, TX Topeka, KS Kansas City, MO St. Louis, TX These are just some of the great places we visited on their trip and made an effort to get portraits made. Some were more candid. Some were more posed but overall, it's a "session" I'll NEVER forget. In total, the trip was over 3,000 miles and we ended with close to 2,000 exposures.
