We recently had the joy of photographing this beautiful newborn session, and it was such a special experience from start to finish. We’ve worked with this family before, and it’s always a pleasure to see them again and capture another big milestone in their story. The session felt calm, tender, and full of love, and you could really see how connected everyone is with their newest little addition. It’s moments like these that make newborn photography so meaningful. We were able to create a set of beautiful, timeless images that highlight just how precious this season is. The family is choosing to keep names private, but what I can say is how grateful I am to have been trusted again to document such an important time in their lives. Hayes was such a beautiful baby boy! He had lots of hair and was so peaceful and chill, which made our job so much fun. Even though he slept most of the time, every once in a while he would peek his eyes open and give us the funniest little looks. You could tell right away that he had a lot of personality. Mom and Dad are completely smitten with him—they just can’t get over how cute he is! I’m so excited about how these photos turned out. This session was actually a practice for one of our newer assistants learning baby wrapping, and Hayes was the perfect little model to help her learn. He made everything easy and enjoyable, and it was such a joy to photograph him. T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw him? Kylee: Our first thought was, “Wow, look at all that hair!” But we were also thinking how beautiful he was. We were in love from the start. T.H. P.:  How did you come up with his name? Little Chloe came into the studio at just three weeks old, and we were instantly smitten. She’s one of the tiniest newborns we’ve ever photographed, but wow—she came with a big dose of personality. With all that beautiful hair and her bright, expressive eyes, she kept us smiling from the very beginning. Mom and Dad are absolutely crazy about her, and it shows in every moment. Chloe made so many funny little faces that we couldn’t help but laugh right along with her. Toward the end of the session, she finally relaxed and drifted off to sleep, giving us the chance to capture those peaceful, dreamy shots everyone loves. We were able to get so many beautiful photos of her, from her wide-eyed expressions to her tiny, sleepy poses. She’s incredibly adorable, and spending time with her and her parents was truly a joy. Baby Malakai was an absolute dream during his session. At just two weeks old, he showed up with a full head of hair, the cutest little expressions, and the most chill personality. He let us pose him in all the sweetest setups, and every time he relaxed into a new pose, it just made all of us smile. Hanging out with him and his parents made the whole session feel easy, calm, and really special. Mom and Dad were fully in love, and it showed the entire time. They were just gushing over every tiny stretch, yawn, and smirk he made. Watching their excitement as we captured these moments was one of my favorite parts of the day.
