Freddy and Abbi’s engagement session was such a joy to photograph! We spent the evening on a gorgeous property that couldn’t have been a better fit for them—tall grass swaying in the breeze, golden sunlight dipping low on the horizon, and even a few hay bales that made the whole scene feel warm and timeless. These two are so fun and light-hearted together; you can see their chemistry in every laugh, every smile, and every playful glance. One of my favorite parts was when they climbed up on an old classic truck—it added the perfect touch of rustic charm and felt so true to their personalities. What really stood out, though, was how much of their story we were able to capture. Freddy and Abbi are high school sweethearts, so we pulled a pair of desks out into the field as a nod to where it all began. I had the pleasure of photographing Gemma and Terry's wedding at the community building in the park in Hoyt. It was such a beautiful, sunny fall day, perfect for their special moment. The park setting gave the whole ceremony a warm, intimate feeling, and the colorful leaves in the trees added to the beauty of the day. They were surrounded by close friends and family, who made everything feel even more personal and special. Gemma was a bit nervous as the ceremony started, but when Terry saw her, his face lit up with pure joy. It was such a sweet moment. Their kids were also really excited and having a great time. Throughout the day, you could just feel the love and happiness from everyone who came. There were so many hugs, lots of smiles, and a few tears too, as their friends and family celebrated with them. I had such a good time with Blake and Rachel. They were fun to hang out with and I loved their chemistry. Their dog was adorable and I'm smiling just looking at the photos with their dog in it. We took these at South Park on Mass in Lawrence and it was a short but very sweet session. Here are some of our favorites. Malcolm and Kelsi's wedding at the courthouse in Wabaunsee County was a small, sweet affair on a beautiful, cloudy, rainy day. Jacob and Emily’s wedding was like something out of a fairytale. Held at the charming Stony Point Hall, just a short drive from Baldwin and Lawrence, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The venue, Stony Point Hall, was the perfect backdrop for their special day. Nestled in the countryside, it exudes rustic charm and elegance, setting the scene for a dreamy celebration. With the beautiful cloudy skies, there was a coolness in the air that made everything feel just right. As Emily made her way down the aisle, Jacob couldn’t help but be overcome with emotion. Tears of joy welled up in his eyes as he watched his beautiful bride approach him, surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family. After the heartwarming ceremony, it was time to party! And boy, did they know how to throw a celebration.
