Kamree 3 month old photos - Adorable baby portraits - Scranton, KS Children's photographer

 We love our families. Babies especially. It's where our roots are. And even though we shoot mostly outdoor sessions now, we will always love doing studio portraits and feel very comfortable there.
 We were very excited about Kamree because we did mom and dad's maternity shoot, which were completely amazing and these were no exception. We are thrilled with how well Kamree did. For three months old, she did exceptionally well. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful senior named Jahara from Topeka High. We started her session in downtown Topeka and then headed to Ward Meade Park, which gave us the perfect mix of urban and natural backgrounds. Jahara looked stunning with her amazing makeup and radiant smile—she truly didn’t take a single bad photo! We had so much fun with her, laughing and chatting the whole time. Meet Warren, the sweetest little guy with the most relaxed personality. At almost a month old, he was happy, content, and an absolute dream to photograph. We captured some beautiful moments of him, both on his own and with his adoring parents, who couldn’t stop gushing over their precious boy. Ava was absolutely beautiful for her senior portrait session! We had an amazing time capturing her both in the studio and outdoors, and every shot turned out stunning. One of the highlights of her session was getting to include her adorable big dog, Goose. He was such a sweetheart, and the photos of them together were just perfect! When we headed outside, it was freezing ! But Ava came prepared with her cowhide blanket, and let me tell you—it looked incredible. I even told her she looked like she just stepped out of a catalog! We had the pleasure of photographing Noah for his senior session in Manhattan. Originally from Oregon, he now calls Kansas home and attends Manhattan High. We started downtown, capturing shots in the alleys and urban spaces before heading to the scenic outlook near the interstate. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown ...

I recently photographed a branding session with Andy McKee , an incredibly talented guitar player. I hate to just call him just a guitar player, he was very versatile with his playing... an amazing talent. We chose Iliff Commons for the location, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The lighting, the weather—everything came together beautifully. It created a warm and natural backdrop that matched the mood we wanted for his photos. We love generation sessions because we get to capture special moments that families will cherish over long periods of time.  We love when the families have us come to their home to shoot them because they add extra special meaning to them.  When the Vannocker Family had us come to their farm for a generation session, we knew it was going to be a blast!  It was really hot, but the family members were in GREAT moods!  They began with pictures in the front yard, with this incredible view in the background.  We got to see their adorable farm animals and we got to pet a little pig!  We are so happy to share these images and we know the family will cherish them for years to come.
