Warren's newborn session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Meet Warren, the sweetest little guy with the most relaxed personality. At almost a month old, he was happy, content, and an absolute dream to photograph. We captured some beautiful moments of him, both on his own and with his adoring parents, who couldn’t stop gushing over their precious boy.

To make the session even more special, Mom and Dad brought along some adorable penguin props—Warren’s little theme! It was the perfect personal touch, and we loved incorporating it into his photos. This session was full of love, snuggles, and the kind of sweetness that makes newborn photography so special. Welcome to the world, baby Warren!

T.H. Peterson: How did you come up with Warren's name?

Meghan: My husband Cooper came up with his name. A lot of my family is from

Warrenton, Missouri. It’s also where my grandparents had their first date. I also went

to college in Warrensburg, Missouri. After picking his name we also discovered that was

Cooper’s great great Grandpa’s name and we both also have multiple distant relatives

named Warren. Cooper also designs bridges for KDOT and is really passionate about

his job and he remembered there’s a type of bridge called a Warren Truss so I like to

joke with him he sneakily convinced me to name our child after a bridge. His middle name Bradley is after my godfather who passed away.

T.H. P.: What did you think when you first saw him?

Meghan: I honestly didn’t think much at first. I was so exhausted from almost 20 hours of labor the doctors held him up and I just tiredly thought oh wow a baby cool without much emotion. It wasn’t until the next morning I truly felt connected. One of my brothers is a radio DJ in Minnesota and my mom was visiting us in the hospital and was streaming his show on her phone. She said there was a surprise coming. He dedicated and played the song There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney for us and I held Warren in my arms and started bawling and finally felt that connection.

T.H. P.: Who does he look like?

Meghan: We honestly can’t decide. He has my blue gray eyes and my husband’s blond hair like he had when he was a baby. I say he looks like my husband but several people say he looks like me.

T.H. P.: Something you liked about your session with us?

Meghan: You were both very patient and kind with us and Warren. We had a rough night the night before and it was so nice seeing how happy Warren was and how cute you made him look compared to the non stop screaming we had at 1 am. The communication was also great with scheduling and getting the exact pictures we wanted.

T.H. P.: Describe his personality with 3 words.

Meghan: Chill, handsome, sweet.
