Interview with Raven Sage - Mission Valley - Class of 2020 - Beautiful Senior Portraits!! Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

 Raven is literally one of the sweetest, most genuine girls we have ever photographed.  She is so kind and fun to be around, and her smile is incredible! We went out to Echo Cliff, right down the road from Raven’s house, and she had the PERFECT afternoon for her senior session!  She had a great time splashing around in the water, and being silly! As the sun went down, we went to Raven’s house and got some really incredible images of her and her dad’s corvette. She looked like a total boss behind the steering wheel! 

She had some of the best laughing images ever!  Her eyes just lit up with each smile and she nailed her session, even getting some pictures with her cat, Boots!  Those two kept us laughing the entire time, and we really enjoyed her entire session. Her parents were really excited when the sky turned orange and we were able to get some great sunset pictures of her!  She looked so grown up, and beautiful! We are so excited for you to see this adorable session!  
T.H. Peterson:   How do you feel about being a senior?  What emotions do you feel about your senior year?
Raven:  Excited and looking forward to the year.
T.H. P.:  If you could spend the day with any celebrity who would it be and what would you do?
Raven:  Luke combs because we would sing all day and hang out.
 T.H. P.:  What is your favorite class from high school and why?
Raven:  All my math classes I liked my teachers.
T.H. P.:  What was your favorite part of the session with us?
Raven:  The sunset pictures we took on the patio.
T.H. P.:  If your friends had to describe you in a single word, what would they say?
Raven:  Huggie.
T.H. P.:  What is your secret power?
Raven:  I don’t have one
T.H. P.:  Favorite place to eat in Topeka?
Raven:  Buffalo Wild Wings.
 T.H. P.:  What activities are you involved in and how have they shaped your life?
Raven:  Cross country and basketball manger, FFA taught me how to say 
in shape. Taught me how to help people. Leadership
T.H. P.:  What would people be surprised to learn about you?
Raven:  Many people don’t know that I work at the scranton Traven in the summer and on weekends during school.
 T.H. P.:  What do you like to do for fun?
Raven:  SLEEP

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! We had the most absolutely perfect day for the Popkess family's spring session at Ward Meade. Sadly the tulips are all gone however the lush greenery made a perfect backdrop anywhere we posed this adorable family! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Destrie: I have always loved the name Diego, and so I knew when I had a second boy he would have that name. T.H. P.: What does big bro think? Destrie: His brother is in total awe of him. Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life. Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. During our first moments together, she just stared at me and was so calm, I couldn’t have fallen more in love.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes. She’s already gotten the nickname of Coco as well, which is so cute.  T.H. P.: What is life like with a new baby in the house?
