Interview with Kiera McNellis - Burlingame High Class of 2023 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

I was so surprised, pleasantly by the weather when we showed up to the Governor's mansion to do Kiera's session. It was absolutely perfect. She was in such a good mood and had her whole family with her, which to me was great because it really shows their closeness and their relationship. I love when families tag along. It shows me that they understand the significance of the session and that they love and support their children. Kiera is a great model. She had awesome ideas and is very confident in who she is. One thing that was really important to her was shooting some images of her with her fishing pole. She is an outdoorsy girl and she really wanted that to show in her session. I absolutely love how her images turned out! Thanks for checking out her shoot!

T.H. Peterson: What was your favorite part of the session with us?

Kiera: Getting to be me while being outdoors.

T.H. P.: What is your favorite song right now?  Least favorite?

Kiera: People talk by Kidd G or Clay Pigeons by Adam Calhoun. Least favorite song is Let It Go off of Frozen.

T.H. P.: What sets you apart from the other students in your grade?

Kiera: Skillsusa.

T.H. P.: What is your favorite junk food?

Kiera: Ice cream.

T.H. P.: What do you do in your spare time?

Kiera: I like to shoot guns, fish, and cook.

T.H. P.: What activities are you involved in and how have they shaped your life?

Kiera: Skillsusa has made me a better leader and more responsible. 4-h made me appreciate the life of animals.

T.H. P.: What is one thing you love about yourself?

Kiera: My passions and my commitment to others.

T.H. P.: Which photo from your senior session was your absolute favorite and why?

Kiera: Either the one with the fishing rod bent or standing on the fence at the carnival. It makes me feel like me.

T.H. P.: Who has influenced you the most so far?

Kiera: My parents and my grandpa.

T.H. P.: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

Kiera: That I do cheer.
