Taylor's Maternity Session - Beautiful milestone session - Topeka's Maternity and Newborn Photographers

Our session with Taylor and Jawonn was just perfect! They are expecting a baby boy and they have picked Kaiden for his name, I love it! We started in the studio and went to the lake for some perfect sunset portraits. It was truly a perfect session and Taylor look beautiful! She could not take a bad portrait! I had a great time photographing Kingston for his senior session, which we split into two days. He’s full of charisma and confidence, with a smile that can light up a room. Kingston’s passion for football really stood out during the first session at Washburn Rural's football field. You can tell he’s dedicated to the game—his energy was contagious as we captured action shots and moments in the locker room. Seeing him in his element, where he’s put in so much hard work, was inspiring. For the second session, we switched things up and headed to Clarion Woods. We started at golden hour, and the timing was perfect. The light flowed beautifully through the tall grass as the sun began to set, giving a soft glow to every shot. The laid-back vibe and stunning weather made for an amazing experience. Kingston was relaxed and brought his same passion and energy to this session, making the whole shoot feel effortless and fun! Our session with Willow was perfect! She is such a great model! Interestingly mom said she doesn't smile often with her teeth for photos but she smiled a lot for us, I'm so happy! We took some at the weight room at Washburn where we had a great time capturing his passion for powerlifting and then some with his motorcycle and out at their property with his dirt bike and just getting some incredible sunset images. This was an amazing baby session! Joshua is so handsome and cute and his parents are absolutely crazy about him. I loved everything about this session. How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Meeting Link and her crew was awesome! They were so fun and laid back. It was a blast. Link is from Indiana but was here on break and we were able to get some really creative images of her.
