Interview with Aiden Scott - Shawnee Heights Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
I had a great time photographing Aiden, a senior at Shawnee Heights and the quarterback for the football team. We started the session at the Kansas Museum, then made our way to Shawnee Lake, and finished up at the football field. Each location gave us something different, and we captured so many awesome images of Aiden along the way. Aiden is tall, handsome, and has a great smile. He’s easygoing and has a really fun, laid-back personality. It made the whole session relaxed and enjoyable. His love for football really came through, especially in the shots at the field. We were also able to get some fun photos with his friend and teammate AJ (though those aren’t included here). They had a great time together and were a blast to photograph. The weather was perfect, and Aiden’s family came along for the session—it really felt like a celebration. I’m so happy with how the images turned out. I think they show off Aiden’s personality and passion for the game in a way he’ll always remember. ...

Photographing Jack was fun. He was outgoing and had a great smile. I had no problems getting awesome images of him! Even though it's winter and all the leaves are gone, we managed to get some of the most beautiful sunset images of him! He's a natural for sure! I also loved that we go to get him in his element swimming. Those were lots of fun and really shined! These are some of our favorites. Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What are your favorite classes this year? Jack: Woodworking was my favorite since I was able to explore my woodworking skills and build a resin table. I also really liked marketing. I got to be involved with the marketing program for WHRS Common Grounds.  T.H. P.: What are your plans after high school? Jack: I would like to go to a D1 or D2 college to continue my swimming career, and major in business administration.  T.H. P.: How long have you been a swimmer? Jack: I started swimming competitively since I was 7 years old, so over 10 years. T.H. P.: Proudest moment...

Daniela was awesome to photograph! She's so photogenic, clearly. But she was also a lot of fun to hang out with. Laid back personality and yet still confident and you can see that in her smile. She looked great with any expression and pose. This was an early morning shoot at Gage Park and I told them, they could not have picked a better location for her session. She looks perfect in the garden. Every angle made the perfect backdrop! Thanks for checking out Dani's session! Tell us which is your favorite! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? Daniela: I plan to go to college and work in the medical field.  T.H. P.: What classes are you glad to be done with? Daniela: English and physics.  T.H. P.: What is your dream job? Daniela: Dermatologist. T.H. P.: What is your favorite outdoor activity? Daniela: Shopping outdoors. T.H. P.: Something you enjoyed about your session w us? Daniela: You were funny and gave me good feedback.  T.H. P.: Last movie you sa...

Interview with Ethan Donnelly - Washburn Rural Class of 2024 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

I'm excited to share this awesome experience I had photographing Ethan's senior photos. It was such a nice evening at Kaw River State Park. The weather was perfect, and the sun was setting, casting a warm and golden glow over everything. The park was right by the river, and the water was glistening with the reflection of the stunning sunset. It created the most beautiful backdrop for our shoot. But what made this session extra special was Ethan's decision to include his late father's truck in the photos. I’m sure it held lots of sentimental value for Ethan representing a strong connection to his family and cherished memories. It was truly heartwarming to see Ethan's bond with his dad. As we moved through the session, I could see Ethan's confidence and personality shine through each pose. He was genuinely enjoying himself, laughing and expressing his true self.    Being a part of Ethan's senior photo session was a privilege and an honor. It reminded me of the...
