Image
Taye was a great subject! He's from Lyndon but wanted his session in Lawrence and I'm so glad he did! It's a great place with so much color and beauty. We visited several of his favorite places on Mass St.  and were able to get great images of Taye. He was very photogenic and easy to photograph! His session was a lot of fun and we just had the most beautiful evening to shoot in. I'm super thrilled with his session and I'm so glad you're checking it out! Have a great day! T.H. Peterson: What classes are you enjoying most your senior year? Taye: I am taking a Creative Art class for the first time this year and am loving it!   T.H. P.: What are your plans after graduation? Taye: I’m not exactly sure what I want to do after graduation, but right now I’m thinking KU for school. Rock Chalk! T.H. P.: What would you consider a dream job? Taye: Writing/singing/producing music would be a dream job for me! T.H. P.: Part of your session was at the Dusty Bookshelf in Lawrenc...

Interview with Saige and Saylor Steele - Silver Lake High Class of 2019 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
Saige and Saylor has an awesome session for their senior pictures!  The weather was nice, and we hid out from the wind as much as we could downtown.  Both girls laughed constantly, making my job so easy! You can see in their smiles how much they enjoyed this experience.  They took some pictures together, and some apart to show their similarities and differences. I loved how they coordinated their outfits in the country scenes.  Thank you for checking out this awesome session and enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? Saige:   My plans after high school include going to the Washburn tech in the fall time to get my EMT degree. Then hopefully after that, get into the fire department as my career. Saylor:   My plans after high school are to attend Washburn Tech and get my EMT certification. I will also be a volunteer firefighter.    T.H.P:  What will you miss most about high school? Saige:   The th...

Interview with Kamryn Prouty - West Franklin High Class of 2019 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
A couple weeks ago we photographed Kamryn and she did amazing. We had the perfect day and the most awesome locations to shoot at. We started at her property and moved to a beautiful back road and then to Pomona Lake. I don't think we could have asked for a more beautiful sunset! It was a little chilly but Kamryn was totally willing to wade around in the water to ensure we got the most perfect images!! All in all, we got a beautiful session for Kamryn! She is a great model and has a beautiful smile and personality! I feel blessed that we were able to photograph her!! Hope you enjoy her blog post!! T.H. Peterson:  Best thing about going to West Franklin HS? Kamryn:  I like the smaller size of the school because everyone is close with each other. T.H. P.:  How long have you played volleyball and your favorite thing about it? Kamryn:  I have played volleyball since I was 8 and I love being able to play in a team and smack the ball down. T.H. Graduation session with Shi'erra Lolar - Graduate of Topeka High - Class of 2017

Image
We are excited to share our graduation session with Shi'erra Lolar from Topeka High. Unlike our senior shoots we do frequently, this was actually a graduation session. We actually did senior portraits for Shi'erra back last year and now that she graduated, we did this special session for her. Her idea was to celebrate her graduation with photos instead of a party that would be forgotten but instead with portraits that would be remembered and cherished for years to come. I think that is a phenomenal idea! We shot these in Lawrence and I loved how her portraits turned out. The color of her outfits were perfect for the scenes we did them in. Thanks for checking out her session. Hope you enjoy! To book your own session, please call Tommy or Holly at 785.793.2492 or 785.213.0812 or email tommy@thpetersonphoto.com
