 Recently I took Mo out to get some shots of him by some trees before the wind, snow, rain and overall cold weather took them all away. We had lots of fun and it really wasn't all that cold as long as we had a jacket on for part of the time. The truth is even though lots of people want portraits outdoors when the leaves are either in full bloom or when the leaves are starting to turn color, the reality is anytime is a good time for portraits outdoors as long as the weather isn't too cold. We can really make any place look good. That's the photographer's job. Yes, we are doing lots of studio shots right now, but we're also still shooting outdoors if the client is up to it and it's not too chilly. So.... let's take it outside!  Mo is such a ham. Wonder where he gets it from? The sun looks beautiful on everyone anytime of the year! Before every studio session we test our lights, normally our son Mo is our more than willing subject and since getting a four year old can be challenging sometimes to sit in front of the camera, I say have fun! A lot like what our sessions are like anyway!

 We've known Jessica for a while and were thrilled when we found out we were going to be photographing some special portraits for her sweet 16! She's a dancer and we had lots of fun photographing her in her cute outfits!  When Amanda called us about doing her senior portraits, we were TOTALLY STOKED!! I knew she would do amazing and was so excited to know that she would even consider using us!  We woke up when it was still dark Monday morning and it was misty and dark and cold. We all thought, oh no! But it turned out to make for some very soft and beautiful and interesting light. Normally, the way we shoot, we want lots of light but even though this was quite different than the way we normally do things, I loved the end results! With all that said, Amanda was very cooperative and in a wonderful mood and we made the best of the situation. We really, really love photographing seniors in a way that we feel is different than most other kind of sessions. They have waited years to become seniors and graduate and this is sort of a rite of passage and a honor and right and feel that we need to make the occasion as special as possible.  We really love the fun and colorful outfits Amanda cho...

Little Miss Bryleigh turns ONE!!  Yea! And these are some of the absolutely adorable photos from the session! What an adorable little doll!  Labor day was awesome and fun and I think will be remembered in our books for so many fun and memorable sessions. Here is Rozie, a sweetie pie, who is about to give birth to a baby boy named Waylon. She just weeks away and we're glad we got to be a part of something so special. I love the name Waylon! I told her that I love boys who have really manly names. Good choice! Rozie did great and thought we were probably a little coo coo running out into the road, but I wanted a cool and modern feel for these. She such a cool mama! It is a bittersweet time for Rozie, but I feel that it will be a special memory for her and one day Waylon will grow up and cherish these images! So pretty!
