Jon and Chelsea made the trip home from Texas for a visit, and while they were here, we were able to create these engagement photos on the property where Chelsea grew up. Her family farm near Burlingame was the perfect location for their session. Everywhere you looked there was something full of character, from the antique buildings and rustic details to the beautiful old Chevy truck parked nearby. Even though we photographed these in the middle of the afternoon, the skies were gorgeous and everything came together perfectly. What I loved most about this session was how easy it was to photograph these two together. Jon and Chelsea have such a natural connection, and you could see how much they enjoy being around each other. Their chemistry made every photo feel effortless and genuine. Sessions like this are a reminder of why I love being a photographer. Spending time with great people in a meaningful place and capturing memories that will last a lifetime is what it's all about.  

We started out on their property, and it was just incredible. Rolling fields, a classic Kansas sunset, and the kind of light you hope for every time. One of my favorite spots was this old wooden cross they had out in the field—it added such a meaningful, rustic touch. After that, we explored some abandoned buildings and then made our way to a farm nearby, which gave us even more variety. Everywhere we went just fit their vibe perfectly. We also got to include their little daughter, and she completely stole the show. So smiley, so expressive—just the cutest. The whole session felt easy and fun. Lots of laughs, some goofy moments, and just really good connection between them. You can tell how much they enjoy being together, and that always makes for the best photos.  If you've driven around Topeka, you know the colors are amazing right now! Jordan and Van are getting married next October and we're excited to be able to capture the important moments and days in their life. We shot these while we're able to get some amazing foliage. They were fun and laid back and really easy going. I had a blast hanging out with them. It was like just playing around.  I love these guys! They're so awesome and laid back and fun. I had the pleasure of photographing them years ago when they were just dating and now they're GETTING MARRIED!!!  Their engagement session idea was out in the country, on their property where they farm. All we needed was a beautiful dramatic sky, an amazing sunset and their tractors. It was pretty amazing. Their dogs joined us too. They were lots of fun and even smiled for the camera! I know their wedding is gonna be amazing... mainly because they'll be there lol! This is actually probably one of my favorite engagement sessions we've done in a long time. It's very personalized to them and it's in an environment I love, the country. Enjoy! And I usually don't do this but I think it is fitting.
