We had such a great time photographing Mya’s senior session at Ted Ensley Gardens at Shawnee Lake! The weather was perfect, the lighting was beautiful, and the gardens were bursting with color—exactly what she wanted for her flower-filled theme. Mya is such a photogenic young lady with a wonderful personality, and she made the session feel so fun and natural. She truly brought the whole setting to life. During our time together, we talked about her love of singing, choir, and musicals, which showed just how creative and passionate she is. Mya has such a bright spirit, and I think that shines through in her portraits. Ki-Bo’s senior session at Ted Ensley Gardens was one of my favorites this year. We got up early to catch the sunrise over the lake, and even though rain made us postpone the first try, it was worth the wait. The sky was full of dramatic clouds that made the morning light extra beautiful. Ki-Bo was absolutely stunning and so natural in front of the camera. Her smile and sweet giggle made every photo feel full of life. We explored the whole garden, finding so many great spots and angles to work with. From the lake views to the flowers and trees, every background seemed to match her calm and joyful spirit. Ki-Bo made my job easy, and I’m so happy with how her photos turned out. I know these images will be such a special part of her senior year! T.H. Peterson: What are your plans after high school? I'm excited to share Kayla's senior photos. I've known Kayla since she was a little girl. In fact, Kayla was the first session I ever photographed outdoors. Back when I had no clue what I was doing. It's great to see her all grown up and experiencing such a big milestone in her life. I hope the best for her! So Olivia, on the right, is graduating next year and this was going to be her senior shoot but then mom decided since Sophia hadn't had senior photos when she graduated, she'd like to have some of them together and some of just Sophia. I'm so glad they did because it made the session fun and we got some great variety! Mom said that Olivia was a little shy, but no worries, I know exactly how that is. After just a few min, I felt like she warmed right up and we got some beautiful expressions from both of them! They are both bright girls with goals of working in the medical field. Very cool!
