Interview with Myah Campbell - Topeka West Class of 2026 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

We had such a great time photographing Mya’s senior session at Ted Ensley Gardens at Shawnee Lake! The weather was perfect, the lighting was beautiful, and the gardens were bursting with color—exactly what she wanted for her flower-filled theme. Mya is such a photogenic young lady with a wonderful personality, and she made the session feel so fun and natural. She truly brought the whole setting to life.

During our time together, we talked about her love of singing, choir, and musicals, which showed just how creative and passionate she is. Mya has such a bright spirit, and I think that shines through in her portraits. We were able to capture so many amazing images in such a short time, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. This session was an absolute joy from start to finish!

T.H. Peterson: Classes you’re glad to be done with?
Myah: Geometry. While I'm still in a college math class, I hated Geometry.

T.H. P: Plans after high school?
Myah: I want to go to college and study music performance and music composition.
T.H. P: What is your dream job?
Myah: I would like to be a singer.

T.H. P: What kind of student are you?
Myah: I'd say I'm a pretty respectful and responsible student. I usually get my work done on time, I just talk a lot.

T.H. P: How would friends describe you?
Myah: Loyal, funny, sweet and kind, and very caring. Probably loud too.

T.H. P: Last movie you saw and what did you think?
Myah: Sinners was the last movie I saw and it was probably one of my favorite movies. I liked how it was a lot different than the other scary movies recently. And I also really liked Michael B. Jordan.

T.H. P: Favorite thing Mom cooks?
Myah: I probably like cheesy pasta shells the best. I don't eat red meat so my mom makes a lot of meatless things for me, but that is one of my favorites. It just has a few different cheeses in a pasta shell with sauce.
T.H. P: Something you liked about your session with us?
Myah: I liked how natural it was and how many flowers there were. I also enjoyed how calm it was, like it wasn't super stressful.

T.H. P: How are you enjoying your senior year?
Myah: My senior year is going really well. I'm in my top choir class and I've talked to more people in my grade. I've also spent most of my time with my boyfriend which is always awesome.

T.H. P: What is your favorite type of music?
Myah: My music taste changes a lot. I like pop but I also like some R&B. But lately I've been listening to musical theater more because I like singing.
