Freddy and Abbi’s engagement session was such a joy to photograph! We spent the evening on a gorgeous property that couldn’t have been a better fit for them—tall grass swaying in the breeze, golden sunlight dipping low on the horizon, and even a few hay bales that made the whole scene feel warm and timeless. These two are so fun and light-hearted together; you can see their chemistry in every laugh, every smile, and every playful glance. One of my favorite parts was when they climbed up on an old classic truck—it added the perfect touch of rustic charm and felt so true to their personalities. What really stood out, though, was how much of their story we were able to capture. We are a photography blog but I decided it would be fun, helpful, interesting, touching, etc to ask couples about their relationships and post their answers here! I've known Ashley and Robby for over 10 years. I shot their wedding and they are so nice and down to earth and funny. They get that from their family! I absolutely love their answers and to be honest, I actually learned something reading their answers! Enjoy! T.H. We had the awesome privilege of witnessing the proposal of Kelly and David at Osage State Fishing Lake.  David contacted us a few weeks prior to the big day, he was so nervous.  He wanted it to be perfect, so we worked together and got a plan to use some old chalkboards, their four kids, and Kelly’s sister.  Together we pulled it off flawlessly.  Her family came along to see it all unfold.  There were fireworks, smiles and laughter that lit up the night sky!  Her first reaction?  She called him a term of endearment that we can’t repeat.  But then...she said YES!  It was so cool to see something like this!  Thanks for checking this blog out! A sigh of relief as I am wrapping up Kaitlyn and Jacob's wedding. Why? Because I wanted it to be perfect. I've known the Mercer family for a while now and I knew that their day was going to be very special and it definitely was. I wanted to do it justice. I wanted to beautifully capture the love and affection Jake and Kaitlyn have for each other. I wanted to capture the relationships that they share with their family and friends.     It was wonderful going to this wedding. I not only saw many people I knew, but many couples that I have photographed in the past at their own weddings and that was amazing to see. It honestly makes me happy and encouraged when I see past married couples at weddings. I love it. It makes me so happy.  When Randy, Monica and I pulled up to the wedding venue, I was blown away.  No question, this was a perfect day. Kayla and Beau are such an awesome couple and being able to photograph this wedding was such a treat. First of all, it took place way up in Minnesota which I've never been up in that neck of the woods. And the most amazing thing was seeing all their friends and family who came from all over the country. Kayla and Beau attended college there and so it was a wonderful location for their ceremony, full of memories. Kayla and Beau are so blessed to have each other. It's so clear that they are completely dedicated to each other and to their marriage. It was really exciting and heartwarming to experience! So happy and pleased to present Eric and Amy's special day! We met them over a year ago and the day finally came and I could go on and on about how great it was. Holly and I had an amazing time. Everything from the location down to the wedding party was just perfect. These guys were so laid back and fun and it just made for one heck of a memorable day. These guys have so much love and passion for one another and even just looking at how they looked at each other and the way that the bridal party spoke of them during their toasts, I know these guys will have a prosperous and bright and long future together.
