It was kind of crazy, the day before Chriss and Chloe's wedding, it RAINED. I mean it poured!!! I was worried about how the wedding day would turn out but thankfully it cleared up perfect for a beautiful wedding for these guys! They got married just north of Lyndon at Locust Point Gun Club, a beautiful rustic and rural location in the heart of Osage County. We've photographed many beautiful weddings there and this wedding was no exception!! Chriss and Chloe are the sweetest, most down to earth couple. They are so in love and its so easy to see when you're around them. Their family and friends are such an amazing support system as well. In fact, Chloe's dad brought the house down in tears with his toast. It was an amazing experience to be a part of. So glad we were there to capture it all.  I LOVED Deb's session!!! Deb was so crazy and funny, we had a blast. To be honest, she kind of reminds me of a girl version of myself. I don't think we've ever photographed anyone where from the second we met we just started cackling and laughing our heads off. She is talkative and creative and hilarious!! She is also very confident. Which is one thing I really admire about her. We also did a portion of her photos in our studio with paint. It was so awesome and I wish more seniors would do something crazy and colorful like this. Anyway, before I bore you anymore, check out her amazing photos! She was such a good model!!  Here's another family session we did recently with the Meyers! Such a great session with a good looking family!! The Meyers were all smiles. These kids were so silly and funny, they were a blast to photograph. The beautiful colors were amazing and looked perfect with their outfits. These were done at Gage Park and while the colors are still somewhat green, there are lots of fall colors starting to burst out! And that makes this photographer super happy.  Last Saturday was a LOVELY day in Topeka KS! The weather was perfect! We spent some time with the Schwindt family at Gage Park and got some super cute shots of their family and a little breakdowns of the kids, etc. I love Gage Park and there is so much variety there. It is such a great honor to be invited to photograph the birth of a newborn. No matter how many times I see it I am still amazed and in awe of the miracle of a child coming into the world. I got the message that Erica’s water had broke from her husband Kenny around 9pm and off I went to the Birth and Women’s Center. By 8:06 am Journee arrived. Erica was someone who surprised me in a good way. I knew she was tough but if I had to describe her during labor it would be superhero! I hardly knew she was in labor. She had the most smiles of any labor and delivery session I have ever seen. She is strong and a great mother. It was such an honor that she let me join her on this beautiful experience.  Brooke and Ricky had a made to order beautiful sunny day. Not too hot not too cold, just perfect! Their day was so relaxed and everything flowed nicely. They are such a joy to be around. They were full of laughs and smiles. I especially love the emotion they show toward each other. You can tell they are meant to be together by the way they look at each other and interact.  This is only our second time ever photographing newborn twin babies! And what an experience it was! These two did so amazing! It was funny because mom wanted them posed together for the majority of the session but as one was sleeping the other was awake. When the other was sleeping the other decided to open their eyes wide open! But eventually enough feeding and rocking got both of these beautiful baby boys in a perfect peaceful sleep. Then they were lots of fun to pose. I don't hold babies all that much but I was recruited to hold Henry I believe and his face was soooo tiny. I forget just how small babies are when they are just born. A tiny little human. Makes you emotional just holding one.
