Azul's quinceanera shoot - The Venue at Rocking V Ranch - Topeka's Best Portrait Photographers

Image
Azul is going to have her quinceanera next year and to celebrate mom had her portraits done at Rocking V Ranch just outside of Auburn. She wanted portraits done with PJ one of their beautiful horses. The afternoon could not have been better. It was absolutely beautiful and a perfect evening for a session. Azul is a beautiful young lady and photographing her was so much fun! This kind of session was unique and different from most of the sessions we shoot so I really loved being able to do it! These are just some of our favorites from the session! Hope you enjoy!  To book your own session, please call Tommy or Holly at 785.793.2492 or 785.213.0812 or email tommy@thpetersonphoto.com

Wrenly Mae's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Image
Wrenly came in with her mom, dad and grandma for her newborn session. She was very alert and awake during most of her session, and had quite an appetite. After a bit of coaxing, she was able to settle and we got some great pictures of her. One of our favorites is her in the carriage. Thanks for checking out her session!  Enjoy! T.H. Peterson: What did you think when you first saw Wrenly? Jana:  I had an emergency c section, where they put me asleep, so when I woke up and they handed her to me, all I could think was thank God she's here and how amazing beautiful she was. T.H. P.: Who does she look like? Jana: She looks a lot like me T.H. P.: Did you have bad morning sickness or any other interesting pregnancy stories? Jana: No morning sickness, pretty uneventful pregnancy, unlike my first one T.H. P.: Describe her in one word. Jana: Amazing T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Jana: We had a list of 5 names and Wrenly was one of them.  I saw it somewhere in a list o...

Interview with Tate Schoffelman - Washburn Rural Class of 2021 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
We started off the session with Tate looking SHARP in a really nice pair of slacks and a button down shirt, and he had some amazing hair!  It was one of the first things we noticed about him, his hair is awesome!  His session started downtown, but one of our favorite spots with him was when we went to the Governor’s Mansion and the way he looked with the sunset and the background was absolutely breathtaking.  We ended at WRHS on the baseball field and Tate was in his element, for sure.  He is an avid ball player and we captured his personality so well during that part of the session.  When the smoke cleared, we were left with these KICK BUTT images, check them out! T.H. Peterson: What was your favorite part of the session with us? Tate: My favorite part was taking pictures out at the Washburn Rural baseball field. T.H. P.: What sets you apart from the other students in your grade? Tate: I'm a peer tutor at my high school for developmentally disabled students. I ...

Interview with Claire - WARU Class of 2021 - Topeka's Best Senior Portraits

Image
Claire had such a great session in downtown Topeka, but one of our most memorable and very favorite times was when we first began the evening shoot with her and the family’s three dogs. Oh my goodness it was really hot out and the dogs were panting and trying to cool down. We had them in Claire’s droptop Mini Cooper and the image speaks for itself. Adorable!!  We also enjoyed how photogenic Claire was when we went to Gage Park. She looked so amazing with her perfect smile and her beautiful eyes that glowed in the sunlight. She brought a piece of fabric with her and we captured some amazing images in the golden sunset. We ended at the rose garden and her session was as unique as she is. Check it out. T.H. Peterson:  What do you love most about your Mini Cooper? Claire:  I love that my cooper has a convertible top so I can enjoy the nice weather. T.H. P.:  Describe your dog Charlotte in one word: Claire:  If I could describe Charlotte in one word it would definite...
