 Now Mo, DO NOT GET TOO CLOSE TO THE CACTUS! Yes, I am a typical parent. I was a little paranoid he would get too close and stick himself! He is very inquisitive and investigative, a typical kid. But he listened well and didn't get too close. It was SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AFTERNOON! I really enjoyed our visit to Tucson and this park in particular. Lots of beautiful cactus and the landscape is just gorgeous!  Mo was mesmerized by the sheer size of this cactus!  It was really funny, Mo picked up this branch and pretended to vacuum. He's at that age he wants to help out so much around the house and vacuuming is one of those fun things he loves to do. I absolutely fell in love with being there and the scenery, but I am happy to be back. I love the grass and trees and open fields. Kansas is definitely where I want to be!

 Recently on our trip to Arizona, Holly and I had a great time meeting a fellow photographer that we met online. Melissa of Melissa Donaldson Photography  and her husband Robert met us one afternoon and we had a great opportunity to hang out and talk shop. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the opportunity to just hang out with another husband and wife photography team. They couldn't be nicer and I hope we get to hang out with them again one day!  We had an awesome time in Arizona. I had the radio on and the deejay said that the weather there makes people all over the country jealous. It was literally 72 degrees. So amazing. A really great place that I look forward to visiting again and again!  Recently we had a fun time shooting baby Elias. An adorable baby boy who made us remember how much we enjoy photographing babies!  Babies at this age are so oblivious to the world around them. It is really interesting to really study that part of them. I love capturing them making small faces and expressions as they dream or feel things. It's really neat! To get the most ideal baby portraits, it's best to do so when they are as young as possible. If they are only days old, let's get them in!  Late last year we decided to take Mo out for a photo shoot. He had a new outfit and wanted to get some great shots of him. We were really excited with the images we were able to capture! I think his little outfit gave him an older time feel. We had lots of fun and believe it or not, Mo being only four, had lots of great ideas for his poses.  Little dude looks a model here. I know I'm biased because he's our son, but this is a good looking little guy! He's a great little model too! Always fun to shoot portraits of him. Thanks for checking this blog post out.  Yesterday, despite it being the beginning of January, was a gorgeous day for outdoor portraits! We had a great time capturing beautiful images of Lindsay and Brandon. It was a lot of fun and these guys gotta be some of the most laid back, down to earth couples we ever met! We're gonna have a great time photographing their wedding!  Easy to see how crazy they are about each other!  This is Leah, Lindsay's daughter, a total cutie pie and she was a blast to photograph as well!  Great shot of mom and daughter. Love it!  These last two shots were some of my favorite shots of the whole session. What a beautiful family!!! Huge thanks to Lindsay and Brandon for an amazing session.  Last year we had a great Cutest Kid's contest on facebook. We had lots of great participation and we're still photographing children from that contest! Recently we photographed Bodie and his little sister Brynlee who celebrated her 1 year birthday yesterday! Here's some of our favorite shots from that session! Super cute kids!!!!  Look at those beautiful eyes!!!  We had an absolutely wonderful session with these two. They were so sweet and adorable. They made photographing them a complete joy!
