Derek + Andi - a beautiful and emotional day!! Osage City, KS Wedding Photographers



 One thing that makes a powerful image is being able to connect emotionally with the viewer. Andi and Derek's wedding was completely amazing and overflowing with emotion. There were so many laughs and tears shared that day that it made our job as photographers completely enjoyable. The atmosphere and mood was ripe for creating emotionally powerful imagery. Selecting the following images was a challenge. There were so many incredible moments that we wanted to share them all but here are some of our favorites.

 One of the things we loved about their wedding was the rustic country feel and attention to detail. Andi's mom put together and made all of the decorations for the reception down to the crocheting of the napkin rings. Everything was beautiful and special!
 Props to Derek's aunt for making this beautiful cake which was one of the most colorful stunning cakes we have seen!!!!








 Andi looked absolutely radiant. She was glowing with excitement.







 Andi's dad was so sweet and seeing her for the first time in her gown made him cry. It was a precious moment.















 The ceremony was simple and classy. The setting was perfect for their rustic style.











 We rode up to the picture spot on the party bus, windows down blasting David Allan Coe. We rocked it out Osage County style.








 Man to man talk.



 Wait a minute, where'd my chicken go?




 Andi's best friend gave the sweetest speech reminiscing of childhood memories together.


















 A second before she pummeled me with an overhand hammer fist.

 I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky...





 "Man! I feel like a woman!!" Sing it boys!!!

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Tracer was such a sweet baby! I remember almost immediately when we started the session, he was comfortable and ready to be posed. Usually it takes a min to get them settled but he was a very good baby. I mean just look at that smile. He smiled almost right at the beginning and he was just a blast to photograph! Sawyer is a CUTE kid! He was so chill and photographing him was a blast. I love the portraits we got of him and the images with mom and dad are super special! Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life.
