AnnaLeigh's Newborn Session - Interview with mom - Topeka Newborn Photography - Beautiful Studio Portraits

  AnnaLeigh's session was awesome!.  She was so sweet giving us the cutest faces.  One thing I loved was trying the white wrap and background. It made for an amazing setup. I think she looked amazing on it! Here's a few of our favorites along with a little interview! Hope you enjoy!
T.H. Peterson: How did you come up with AnnaLeigh for her name?

Kylie: AnnaLeigh is a combination of 2 family names. Ann if from both of her grandmothers and Leigh is for he aunt and grandfather. Her middle name is Daisy for he grandmother who passed 2 years ago.
T.H. P.: What was your first thought when you saw her?
Kylie: Daddy says- perfect, that Daisy picked her out for us.
Mommy says- beautiful, worth it.
T.H. P.: Describe her in one word.
Kylie: Cheeky
T.H. P.: How was your pregnancy? What was your favorite and least favorite part?
Kylie: The pregnancy was long and exhausting. Favorite part was the day after the pregnancy, when she was finally here. Least favorite, the heartburn! 

T.H. P.: Who do you think she looks like most?
Kylie: Mommy

Now this was a special session! It's not often we photograph multiples for newborn sessions but these little girls were just perfect and despite them being born several months ago, because they were so premature they photographed just like brand new newborns! How to Prepare for a Photo Session - Topeka's Best Family Portrait Photographers

Select outfits that will make for a timeless portrait. Choose practical clothing items, and keep the location and time of year in mind.  Select clothing items and accessories that are not too distracting or that you will have to adjust often during the session (think long necklaces or ruffled tops on a windy day).  Keep in mind the weather, wind speed, and humidity/chance of rain.  If you have littles, bring them some snacks to help give them incentives during the session.  This can help us to get kids to cooperate and make or break a session.  If it is windy, wear your hair up.  Trimming your bangs/hair slightly to keep them out of your eyes is a great idea, too! Use product like mousse, gel, pomade, and hairspray to tame your mane!    Pick shoes that will be easy to walk in at the location of the session.  For example, high heels are not recommended for sunflower shoots, but would look great in an urban/downtown setting.  Bring an extra jacket or cardigan to th

Destrie: I have always loved the name Diego, and so I knew when I had a second boy he would have that name. T.H. P.: What does big bro think? Destrie: His brother is in total awe of him. What a handsome little guy! I loved photographing Declan and his session was just perfect! I especially loved capturing the details like his spikey hair. Totally adorable! Hanna, who is a long time client, has recently begun helping us with newborns and it's been a huge blessing not only to our business but to her as well as she has had an opportunity to grow as a photographer herself and practice on getting better at wrapping and posing babies. What a sweet baby! We had a wonderful time with Kayson and his mom and dad. They are so proud of him and you can tell they are going to raise him right and give him lots of love his whole life. We had the most absolutely perfect day for the Popkess family's spring session at Ward Meade. Cove's Newborn Session - Interview with Mom - Topeka's Best Newborn Photographers

Cove was the sweetest little girl. She was so mellow and easy to photograph. She was just the cutest baby. During our first moments together, she just stared at me and was so calm, I couldn’t have fallen more in love.  T.H. P.: How did you come up with her name? Sierra: Her big brothers name is Cash, so I knew I wanted another one syllable name. When I stumbled upon Cove and said the names together, it was an instant yes. She’s already gotten the nickname of Coco as well, which is so cute.  T.H. P.: What is life like with a new baby in the house?
